    Fulwiley shot into the public eye in November 2023 during her freshman season. A clip of her running the ball coast to coast for a bucket went viral. This caught Curry’s attention, and her performances off the bench for the South Carolina Gamecocks kept him glued.

    While looking to add a collegiate athlete to his Curry Brand roster with Under Armour, Curry zeroed in on Fulwiley. For her time in college, she signed a multi-million-dollar deal with the Curry Brand.

    With the NCAA women’s basketball tournament set to kickstart on Thursday, Curry wanted to remind everyone that they should pay attention to the 19-year-old. The four-time NBA champion wore a t-shirt featuring Fulwiley to the game against the Raptors.

    Fulwiley was born and raised in Columbia, S.C., the hometown of WNBA icon A’ja Wilson. She started playing basketball at W.J. Keenan High School in Columbia, winning four state titles in six years with the team. She left as the school’s all-time leading scorer.

    The 2024 SEC tournament MVP had multiple offers from top colleges around the country, but she chose to stay close to home and hone her skills with the Gamecocks.

    In her sophomore year, Fulwiley has been getting more minutes but continues to be a supporting anchor for her team from the bench. She has averaged 12.0 points per game, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in the 2024-25 season.

    Curry Highlighted the Reason for Signing Fulwiley

    Curry’s assessment of Fulwiley while signing the South Carolina star was spot on. “She believes in what we’re doing… and obviously in South Carolina doing amazing things, winning a championship in her freshman year,” Curry said last month. ,” Curry said last month.

    “And trying to continue to get better and keep pushing the envelope on what she can accomplish in her career. As you build out your roster, you want to have just good people that truly understand.”

    Fulwiley will be in action today as South Carolina plays Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
