TCU’s Olivia Miles Drops Encouraging 2-Word Message as Angel Reese Dials Up Injury Recovery

Sometimes, a simple gesture carries massive weight. A quick comment or a short message and suddenly, fans are buzzing. When rising star Olivia Miles dropped just two words under Angel Reese’s Instagram post, it wasn’t just friendly support—it felt like the beginning of something bigger.

Reese, back in grind mode after a tough injury, got the kind of shoutout that makes you wonder if the women’s game is quietly building a new sisterhood across college and the pros. It’s subtle, it’s sincere and above all, it’s loud if you’re listening.

Olivia Miles Backs Reese With Simple Message

On Tuesday, a clip from Miles’ Instagram Live made the rounds with Miles hyping up Chicago Sky’s Reese with clear admiration. The next day, she took it a step further.

Dropping a clean “Get active” under Reese’s post, Miles echoed what many fans were thinking as Reese continues to ramp up her return. The message wasn’t flashy, but from one star-in-the-making to another, it said plenty.

The support comes at a time when the rising WNBA star is pushing through the final stretch of her injury recovery. After hurting her left wrist in an Unrivaled League game back in March, the Sky forward had to pause her work on the court.

That same wrist had surgery in 2024, so there were questions. But according to the Chicago Tribune, Reese is now back in the gym, looking sharp just weeks ahead of training camp. No brace, no signs of slowing down.

Reese Sends Love Right Back to Miles

The best part of what appeared to be a budding friendship is that the love goes both ways. When Miles announced her transfer from Notre Dame Fighting Irish to TCU—easily one of the biggest moves in the transfer portal, Reese chimed in with some wholesome energy of her own:

“Be great sis! Proud of you and always got your back,” Reese wrote in the comment section. That’s a 3x All-American recognizing a future star and giving her flowers early.

Miles averaged 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in 2024-25 season and is expected to take over Hailey Van Lith’s role at TCU.

That’s no small task, but if anyone can flip the script, it’s Miles. Just like Van Lith did. And now, she’s got not just a fresh start, but Reese in her corner.

Reese, meanwhile, wrapped up her rookie WNBA season averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds—earning both All-Star and All-Rookie honors, even as the Sky missed the playoffs. But if her offseason hustle tells us anything, it’s that she’s not here to stay quiet. She’s coming louder.
