Only in her second WNBA season, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is already hailed as an unforgettable icon.
The 23-year-old has impacted various aspects of the game, including an influx of fans and viewership. Of course, her presence has also changed the Fever locker room atmosphere.
Fans have more faith in the team with Clark leading, many hoping for an eventual championship win. In fact, Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams had an interesting take on Clark and her locker room impact.
Lynx Star Courtney Williams Shares Candid Take on Caitlin Clark’s Locker Room Impact
During a live stream with TikTokers @teamstudbudz (which includes Lynx guard Natisha Hiedeman) and Dallas Wings guard DiJonai Carrington, Williams commented on Clark’s influence on her teammates.
Talking about the Fever’s Saturday game with the Chicago Sky, Williams initially mischecked Clark’s status. Thinking the University of Iowa graduate was playing, Williams said: “That game might get ugly then.”
However, upon clarifying, the Lynx veteran spoke on Clark’s presence as she added:
“Caitlin Clark make them girls different.”
Williams referred to Clark’s quad injury, which had her sidelined for five games. The team lost three straight games without their star, eventually bagging two wins against the Washington Mystics (85-76) and the Sky (79-52).

Clark’s Impact is Reflected in the Fever’s Plummeting Ticket Prices
While a reliable force on the court and for her team, Clark is also crucial to the WNBA’s growth as a sport. Fans have sold out stadiums to watch the young phenom, paying hundreds of dollars for a game. However, Clark’s extended absence has caused Fever ticket prices to plummet.
As per Front Office Sports, the resale value for Fever tickets was starting from $393. But Clark’s injury had a direct impact on it, with prices crashing to as low as $12.
It all depends on Clark’s return, which is currently day-to-day. Speaking to the media on June 5, Clark shared an update about her injury:
“I’ll miss this weekend’s game, but after that it’s day-by-day and see how I feel and turn to the medical staff and what they think,” Clark said. “Feel like I’ve made a lot of progress, and I feel good. I’m not gonna rush coming back, it’s just not worth it.”
The Fever onboarded Aari McDonald to aid the team in Clark’s absence, looking to win regardless of the roster situation.
The team is scheduled to play against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday, June 10.
