Is Paige Bueckers Playing Against the Las Vegas Aces? Latest on Dallas Wings Superstar’s Status

Paige Bueckers returned to the Dallas Wings fold with her best scoring effort. The 35 points, coupled with six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and a block, were a massive boost for the Wings. However, they did lose 93-80 to the Atlanta Dream.

While the outcome extended an already worrisome losing streak, Bueckers’ return to action is a silver lining. The rookie superstar missed her last four games before lacing up against Atlanta, but there is good news for the Wings faithful ahead of their upcoming away clash against the Las Vegas Aces.

Paige Bueckers Not Listed In Wings Injury Report Ahead Of Aces Showdown

Bueckers was not listed on the Wings’ injury report before the team’s clash against the Aces. Guard Dijonai Carrington (left shoulder injury) is probable, while Myisha Hines-Allen (right knee) is questionable. Dallas will be without guard Tyasha Harris (left knee surgery).

The point guard’s return (barring any last-minute setback) provides the much-needed scoring punch and playmaking that the Wings have missed. Bueckers’ court vision and game awareness make her a bona fide threat to opponents.

It has been a solid start to her WNBA career. The former UConn star averages 17.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game. She is shooting 48.9% from the field, 45.5% from downtown, and 80.6% from the charity stripe.

Her return comes as a boost for the struggling Wings unit as they look to climb out of their current hole. While most teams are looking at winning combinations and sustaining momentum, the Western Conference unit has dealt with injuries and inconsistency on both ends of the floor.

Paige Bueckers ‘Just Trying To Be More Aggressive’ With Her Scoring

In her recent interview with Dallas Hoops Journal, the 2025 WNBA Draft’s No. 1 pick spoke about her offensive game plan.

“I think I try to be more aggressive from all three levels — in the paint, in the mid-range, and three,” Bueckers said. “But yeah, I think that was just what the game was calling for at that point. Some stuff was self-created, and some were extra passes. But yeah, just trying to be more aggressive on all levels.”

It’s worth noting that the Wings have struggled on pace and shotmaking in her absence. Their 102.2 offensive rating and true shooting percentage (52.6%) show a significant dip to 99.7 and 48.4%, respectively, when she is off the floor.

The challenge gets only tougher for Bueckers and Dallas. They play the Aces and follow it up with the resurgent Golden State Valkyries. Friday’s marquee clash tips off at 10 p.m. ET at the Michelob Ultra Arena. The game can be watched live on ION.
