Fever Star Caitlin Clark’s Moment With NASCAR Driver Carson Hocevar Goes Viral At the ANNIKA Pro-Am

Being a professional basketball player isn’t Caitlin Clark’s only talent. The Indiana Fever star, currently enjoying the WNBA offseason, was on the links this week for ‘THE ANNIKA’ driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club.

Considering Clark’s surging popularity and rising fame, it was no surprise that her appearance at the event went viral.

What Was Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark Doing at a Pro-Am Golf Event?

Last year, Clark was at the LPGA’s Annika pro-am to show off her golf skills. With the 2025 season now over and her injury recovery complete, Clark has returned to the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. In 2024, Clark famously played with Nelly Korda.

This time, however, what fans really loved was Clark’s link-up with NASCAR driver Carson Hocevar. The two icons swapped jerseys at the venue, posing for photos for both fans and the media.

Clark’s popularity has afforded her numerous opportunities over the past few years, including golf events and other celebrity engagements. Fans, of course, love to hype up their favorite WNBA star and are happy that she’s enjoying some time off before locking in for another season. Her presence at the event in 2024 drew a record number of viewers.

Another highlight of the event was seeing Clark’s Fever teammates, Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham, on the course. The two served as Clark’s guest caddies, creating some iconic moments. They even wore bibs with the Fever logo and their respective numbers printed on them.

In fact, Cunningham was even calling out Clark’s swing, as she said: “A little left, a little left.”

Clark, who was in the middle of her shot, was hilariously bothered and responded: “Girl, I know.”

She also poked fun at her own swing on her Instagram story, writing: “Odds are high I sliced that so bad right.”

What Is the Latest on Clark’s Injury Recovery?

Apart from her hilarious antics with teammates, fans were overjoyed by the injury update Clark shared. While at the event, the Fever star announced the news everyone had been waiting for. “Now I am feeling back to a 100 percent,” Clark said.

After being named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, fans had high expectations for Clark as she began her sophomore season in 2025. However, for the first time in her career, injuries began to follow, slowing down both Clark and the rest of the Fever team.

While the team made it to the playoffs, Clark chose to sit out, ending her season early to rehab a recurring groin injury properly. Her limited campaign saw her play only 13 regular-season games, where she averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game while shooting 36.7% from the field.

With Clark back at full strength and other stars like Cunningham and Aari McDonald also recovering, the Fever, led by head coach Stephanie White, are positioned to make a powerful comeback in 2026.
