A lot of people, from baseball fans to those who are involved in other pro sports, were glued to their TV sets on Saturday night as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in 11 innings. The Dodgers earned their second straight World Series championship, becoming the first team in more than two decades to do so.
One person who was watching closely was WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark. In fact, Clark was so impressed by what was taking place at Rogers Centre in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series that she headed out to social media.
What Did Caitlin Clark Say About the World Series?
As Clark was watching players like Will Smith, Miguel Rojas, and World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto help the Dodgers win again, she headed out to X and shared her thoughts.
This is the best baseball game I’ve ever seen

Clark kept her comments succinct and to the point. Clark wrote, “This is the best baseball game I’ve ever seen.” She was probably in line with so many people watching that game, albeit Blue Jays fans might have another opinion after watching their team fall short.
The Dodgers were in a position where they had to go win Games 6 and 7 if they were going to repeat. Well, Los Angeles sealed the deal thanks to a game-tying solo home run from Rojas in the ninth inning and Smith’s go-ahead solo homer in the 11th inning.
Yamamoto earned three victories in the 2025 World Series en route to getting his World Series MVP accolade.
Clark has had to spend time on the sidelines last season for the Indiana Fever a whole lot. Clark only played in 13 games last season for the Fever before suffering a season-ending groin injury just before the WNBA All-Star break. All that Clark could do was watch as the Fever lost to the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.
But having someone of Clark’s stature watching the World Series play out at Rogers Centre in Toronto on Saturday night lets sports fans know that she’s interested in sports beyond the WNBA. Of course, Clark apparently was quite impressed with what she saw take place. Clark also wants to win a WNBA championship herself.
That’s a goal that will be at the forefront of her mind when the newest WNBA season gets underway. For now, though, she can join so many other sports fans in celebrating what the Dodgers did yet again.
