‘Clark Kent’ — Fever Fans Hyped About Caitlin Clark’s New Look At NBA Finals Ahead of Much-Anticipated Return

Caitlin Clark may not have suited up Friday night, but she still managed to steal some spotlight. The Indiana Fever star, along with teammate Aliyah Boston, was courtside at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to support the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

From her sideline fit to a quick but meaningful interaction with a game-day employee, Clark’s presence sparked a surge of reactions from fans online — some focused on her look, others on her character. Meanwhile, her long-awaited return to the court is finally here. And it couldn’t come at a more critical time for the Fever.

Fever Fans Can’t Get Enough of Caitlin Clark’s Viral Look at Pacers-Thunder NBA Finals Game

It was a high-stakes matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who edged out Indiana 111-104 to even the series at 2-2. But while all eyes were on the game, Clark’s appearance set off a wave of excitement.

While the Pacers battled on the floor, Clark had fans buzzing off it. Dressed in clear-framed glasses and a sharp blazer, Clark’s look immediately drew comparisons to another iconic figure.

“Clark Kent,” one fan posted — a sentiment echoed by many others on X.

But it wasn’t just the outfit. Clark’s simple act of fist-bumping a veteran game-day attendant didn’t go unnoticed. “My favorite part was her being so aware of her surroundings that she took time to acknowledge and fist bump the veteran attendant,” one user wrote, reflecting the appreciation for Clark’s grounded persona.

Other fans chimed in with admiration and light-hearted praise. One post read: “Two cutest girls on the team in my opinion,” while another fan added, “Such a great role model.” One leaned into the superhero narrative with a simple, “Super girl.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Caitlin Clark moment without nods to her on-court wizardry. “Pick and roll acolytes,” one fan posted — a reminder of the offensive firepower she brings back with her this weekend.

The Fever need a spark. Clark’s presence alone generates attention. Her return to the court, if it mirrors the energy she created on the sidelines, could be exactly what Indiana needs to reset the season.

Clark’s Comeback Timed Perfectly as Fever Host WNBA’s Undefeated Liberty in Anticipated Clash

Clark is expected to rejoin the lineup Saturday afternoon as the Fever host the WNBA champion New York Liberty — the league’s last undefeated team. Indiana went 2-3 without its star guard, who was averaging 19 points, 9.3 assists, six rebounds and 1.3 steals per game before a quad injury sidelined her for five games.

“I’m really excited,” Clark said this week. “I think it’s definitely been a process. I think the hardest part is when you like begin to feel really good and then it’s just a process of working yourself back into actually getting up and down and getting out there with my teammates.”

Clark resumed practicing this week and said that while she was out, the Fever had to adapt their offense to better suit other players’ strengths. “We changed a little bit of what we did on offense while I was out … We didn’t play out of a pick and roll as much, because that’s what I like to do. And some of my teammates, that’s not their best strength… So just getting back into the flow of doing some of those types of things,” she explained.

She also stressed the importance of timing and pace. “I think just getting out there and continuing to build my chemistry with my teammates, and playing fast, playing up tempo. I think that’s gonna be the best for us.”

Clark stayed engaged during her absence, traveling with the team, reviewing film, and studying the game from the sidelines. That time off, she said, sharpened her perspective — especially as a facilitator. With a nationally televised matchup against a dominant 9-0 Liberty squad, the stage is set for Clark’s return to matter.
