WATCH: Caitlin Clark Taunts Fever Teammates With 4-Word Message After Winning Half-Court Shooting Contest

The Indiana Fever have been without superstar guard Caitlin Clark since she injured her hamstring in the fourth game of the season. The Fever have gone 2-3 without Clark, but she is expected to return soon.

Despite Clark’s injury and the tough start to the season for Indiana (4-5), a recent pair of videos from practice show that the team still knows how to have fun and that Clark knows how to taunt.

Caitlin Clark Playfully Mocks Fever Teammates After Shooting Contest

Clark and the Fever recently received good news, as the second-year guard is cleared to return for Indiana’s upcoming game against the New York Liberty on Saturday, June 14, according to USA Today’s Cydney Henderson. The team celebrated the good news by holding a half-court shooting contest at a recent practice, which Clark won.

Fever reporter Chloe Peterson tweeted a pair of clips highlighting the shooting contest with the message, “Caitlin Clark has won the pregame half court contest (a rare instance). First runs out of the practice court in celebration, then yells ‘go cry about it’ while waving her money around as her teammates are missing their shots.”

Clark has immediately re-established herself by winning the shooting contest, and the competitive Iowa product let her teammates hear about it. This is a good sign for Fever fans as the team has seemed lost without Clark, the Fever’s star player, following her injury.

After the first game without Clark, head coach Stephanie White had said that her team was “settling” too much. Hopefully, the superstar’s return will get Indiana’s offense back in rhythm.

Before the hamstring injury, Clark was off to a hot start after being named the WNBA Rookie of the Year last season. In four games this year, she’s averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 9.3 assists.

Veteran Sydney Colson took Clark’s place in the starting lineup and has averaged 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in five starts. Indiana lost its first two games without Clark but rebounded with two straight wins to open Commissioner’s Cup play. They dropped a third sans Clark, losing against Atlanta on June 10.

At minimum, the two clips signify that Clark is healthy enough to be back on the court. The Fever are currently third in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference and sit five games behind the undefeated Liberty.
