Caitlin Clark Reveals Insane Rehab Regimen That Fueled Her Return After 5-Game Absence Due to Quad Injury

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark remains one of the best basketball players in the world right now. That’s even after her 5-game absence due to a serious quad injury. The Fever did not want to aggravate her injury and kept her on the sidelines until Clark made a full recovery.

It has now been confirmed that Clark will be making a return to the Fever lineup. And it’s against none other than the defending champs, New York Liberty. Her last game was also against Sabrina Ionescu and Co. on May 24, before she suffered a tragic quad injury.

The superstar also recently mentioned that there was a chance that she suffered the injury during the Liberty game. Moreover, she has now shared a useful rehabilitation regimen that helped her recover.

Caitlin Clark Shares How She Recovered From Quad Injury After Injury Absence

During a presser held on Friday, June 13, Clark spoke about how she recovered.

“I mean anything under the sun, I basically did,” Clark said. “You know, a lot of needling, a lot of, you know, when you do treatment and rehab, you’re still lifting, you’re almost lifting heavier than probably what I would be doing on a day like today when preparing for a game. Just trying to strengthen my muscles, my left leg and my right leg.”

“You know, literally anything I tried at red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, like we do it all,” Clark continued. “The same goes even when I’m feeling healthy, like that’s a big part of it, massages, everything. So just being very intentional about that and now that I do feel good still staying on top of that and continuing to do that so I don’t have any sort of setbacks I think is going to be really important.”

Clark would be fortunate that the Fever provided her with the resources that played a key role in her injury return. Red light therapy is when an individual’s body cells will be stimulated when low-level of red and infraled-light is placed near the skin. This is mainly to speed up the healing process of the cells.

Meanwhile, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber helps athletes heal faster. By breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized room, their bodies absorb more oxygen, which speeds up recovery and helps them get back in the game sooner.

Clark has jumped over a large hurdle now after recovering from the injury. Now, the aim would be to help the Fever gain some momentum, as they sit in seventh place with just four wins out of nine games.
