Caitlin Clark has established herself as one of the WNBA’s best players and a face of women’s basketball. The Indiana Fever’s second-year guard has been on the shelf recently with a hamstring injury, but let’s revisit a bold prediction she once made regarding the NFL’s power couple: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Caitlin Clark Predicts Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Will Get Married in Old Clip
Clark grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Kansas City Chiefs fan and is a fan of Swift as a musician — so it’s safe to assume that she was excited when Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023. Clark was a senior at Iowa when the couple made things official, and she made a bold prediction about the relationship.
A Swift-Kelce fan account recently tweeted a clip of Clark making her prediction about how long the power couple will be together. Clark was asked, “As a Kansas City Chiefs fan, how long will Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift last?”
She quickly and confidently replied, “They’re gonna get married. You heard it here first.” The account also posted a clip of Clark singing along to one of Swift’s songs while at the Iowa basketball facility, along with two pictures of her wearing Chiefs gear. One of which was a jersey swap with Kansas City receiver Rashee Rice.

Rumors of Swift and Kelce’s relationship began in the summer of 2023 when the Chiefs’ tight end attended one of Swift’s concerts and claimed that he tried to meet her after the show. Swift showed up at one of Kelce’s games that season, and the two walked out of Arrowhead Stadium together.
The couple became official later that season and have been going strong ever since. However, they are still currently just dating, as there haven’t been any reports of an engagement or secret wedding to this point.
The most recent update is that the couple attended Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, and TMZ reported that they spent time with the NHL’s all-time points leader, Wayne Gretzky.

Clark was named National Player of the Year after her senior season, became the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and was named Rookie of the Year. While she’s become one of the faces of women’s basketball, she’s still a fan of Swift and the Chiefs.
After she missed five games with a hamstring injury, she is set to return for the Fever’s upcoming game against the New York Liberty, according to USA Today’s Cydney Henderson. Clark’s prediction seems to be heading in the right direction, so far, though it is far too early to tell where things are going behind the scenes.
