    Who Is Shaboozey?

Shaboozey, born Collins Chibueze, is a 29-year-old hip-hop and alt-country artist from Fairfax, Virginia. While recent collaborations have seen his career soar to new heights in 2024, Shaboozey started his music journey back in 2014 after releasing his debut single, “Jeff Gordon.”

In 2017, he signed with Republic Records after impressing them with his singles “Starfoxx” and “Robert Plant.” He would release his debut studio album “Lady Wrangler” in 2018. Shaboozey released his second album in October 2022, “Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die,” through Empire Distribution.

Ahead of releasing his third album, “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going,” Shaboozey gained notoriety for his contributions to Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” album, featuring on “Sweet/Honey/Buckiin” and “Spaghettii” alongside country music royalty Linda Martell.

“Cowboy Carter” was released on March 29, 2024, just two weeks before Shaboozey dropped his highest-charting song to date and fourth single for his third album, “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” The song spent 19 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, tying Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” as the longest No. 1 spot on the Hot 100.

Given his meteoric rise to fame in 2024, Shaboozey has earned many award nominations. He won two People’s Choice Country Awards and was nominated for two CMAs. He awaits the results of his five Grammy nominations in 2025.

    Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions

The Bears and Lions enter the NFL Thanksgiving game in very different positions, with the postseason on the horizon. Detroit continues to dominate every week, and even when they stumble, the team pulls it together to find a way to emerge victorious. Sitting at 10-1 and the NFC’s No. 1 seed, the Lions hope to keep their momentum rolling at Ford Field.

Their domination is further illustrated by their potential to lock up a playoff berth with a win and some help. From an incredibly dynamic offense led by the trio of RBs David Montgomery, Jahmyr Gibbs, and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown to a vastly improved defense from a season ago, the Lions enter each week primed and ready to feast on their opponent, will the Bears be the next victim?

Meanwhile, Chicago has watched its postseason dreams dissolve with its five-game losing streak, the last two of which were heart-breaking. In Week 11, Cairo Santos’ game-winning 46-yard field goal was blocked by Green Bay Packers DE Karl Brooks, resulting in a missed opportunity to break the streak.

Santos would convert a field goal to send Week 12’s game against the Minnesota Vikings to overtime. However, Chicago would go three-and-out on the opening possession of the extra period, only to watch Sam Darnold lead the Vikings to a game-winning field goal on the ensuing drive.

With the losses starting to pile up, it’s now or never for Chicago if they want to sneak their way into the postseason. Getting through the Lions will be no easy feat.

However, with how the Bears have played other NFC North opponents, expect them to give Detroit everything they have to try and snap this losing streak.
