The Arizona Cardinals will be without starting quarterback Kyler Murray when they go up against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. Coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed that backup Jacoby Brissett will get the start.
What Happened To Kyler Murray?
Kyler Murray is absent because of a foot sprain he suffered on October 5 against the Tennessee Titans. Despite finishing the game, it became clear in the following days that the injury was more serious than initially thought. While the team described his status as “day-to-day,” his recovery has been slower than expected.
Arizona hoped he would return after their bye week, but he has not yet been cleared to start. Jonathan Gannon said on Saturday that Murray is improving but not healthy enough to play yet.
The Cardinals placed Murray on the injured reserve in the week leading up to the game against the Seahawks. He will now miss at least the next four games for the Cardinals.

In his five starts this season, Murray, who has a PFSN Impact Score of 75.2, completed 68.3% of his passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also recorded 173 rushing yards and one rushing score. Arizona went 2-3 in those games.
Brissett has played well for the Cardinals this year and helped the team snap its five-game losing streak in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys. Due to his brilliance, many believe Murray has already played his last game for Arizona.
There is a very high possibility Murray could get traded in the offseason and teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders are expected to pursue him.
