Week 12 brings us a fourth straight week of divisional matchups on Thursday Night Football. This week is a clash of the two front runners in the AFC South as the Indianapolis Colts head down to take on the Houston Texans. With both teams at 6-4 and the Colts having won the first matchup, this game takes on extra importance this week. A win for the Colts would give them essentially a 1.5-game lead heading into the final five weeks. However, the Texans are not going to let them have it all their own way in Houston’s own stadium. Let’s take a look at PFN picks teams Week 12 Thursday Night Football picks.
Location: NRG Stadium
Time: 8:30 pm EST
Spread: Texans -3.5
Prior to the Texans getting blown out by the Baltimore Ravens and the Colts manhandling the Jacksonville Jaguars, this game had a look ahead line of Houston -5.5. However, last week’s results meant the line quickly dropped down to 3.5. Despite most of the bets and the money having been placed on the Texans laying the points, the line has barely moved, and can only be found at Colts +4 in a handful of places. The total has also not moved much despite a big proportion of the money and bets coming in on the over. Right now, that total had held pretty steady at 45.5, but we could see it creep up to 46 by game time if the current betting patterns continue.

“I am with the money trends this week, suggesting that this game is going to be high scoring. In my totals picks column this week, I have already planted my flag on the Colts team total over, and I also like the game total to go over.
The touchdown scorers value is a bit all over the place here, and with TY Hilton’s role not being fully known, it is hard to commit on receiving yards props either. Instead, I am going to go a little off the script and back Jacoby Brissett to find the end zone again this week with his legs. Brissett has scored twice in the last five games, and the Colts running game situation is a little up in the air with Marlon Mack missing time. Therefore, at nice odds of +600, Brissett could make for a fun little play in this one.”

“When a team loses as bad as the Texans did on Sunday, I normally look to back them the following week. That isn’t the case here. I gave out Indianapolis (+4) and their money line as well, earlier in the week. Here is why.
His spread shouldn’t be more than a field goal. Houston has the edge at QB, while the Colts have a tremendous edge at head coach. When you look at the matchup in the trenches, Indianapolis has the edge. I expect the run game to be successful and for Brissett to enjoy a clean pocket all night.
Deshaun Watson can always do Deshaun Watson things, but I like the value here. As I said, this shouldn’t be above three, so the fact that we’re getting value with what I believe to be the better team has me looking to the Colts way.”
0.75u – Indianapolis Colts +4 | -110
0.25u – Indianapolis Colts ML | +170
“My official play Thursday night is the Deandre Hopkins over yardage total. I feel he comes back strong and gets into the century mark against the Colts.”
1u – DeAndre Hopkins Over 81.5 receiving yards | -118
