Week 10 was a wild one, with a trio of 1-7 teams beating teams with winning records and ending with a thriller on Monday Night Football. In the end, we have a brand new team sitting at the top of the power rankings as we head into Week 11 of the NFL.

1. Baltimore Ravens (7-2, Last Week: 4)

Week 10 Result: Defeated Cincinnati, 49-13

It’s time to stop doubting the Ravens. Not that there was any serious talk or thought that the Ravens would suffer a letdown against the Bengals. However, even if there were, the Ravens put those to rest very quickly. The Bengals were never in this one, as Lamar Jackson had his second game with a perfect passer rating and is making a strong case for MVP. This team is looking really good for a first-round bye right now, and we are in for a treat next week when Jackson and the Ravens meet Deshaun Watson and the Texans in a game with huge playoff implications. The winner will have the inside track for getting Wild Card Weekend off and hosting a Divisional Playoff.

2. San Francisco 49ers (8-1, Last Week: 1)

Week 10 Result: Lost to Seattle, 27-24 (OT)

The 49ers ended up on the wrong side of a classic showdown on Monday Night Football and suffered their first loss of the season. This team still looked excellent in defeat and had some calls not quite go their way. A slight concern is that Garoppolo had a few passes in overtime that should have been intercepted, and looked shaky after he lost Emmanuel Sanders. In any event, the 49ers will regroup next week when they host the Cardinals, who just they defeated, 28-25, in Week 9.

3. New England Patriots (8-1, Last Week: 2)

Week 10 Result: Bye

The Patriots will obviously be angry coming off of their bye after they lost to the Ravens. Philadelphia better be on their toes Sunday, or it could get very ugly at the Linc.

4. New Orleans Saints (7-2, Last Week: 3)

Week 10 Result: Lost to Atlanta, 26-9

Well, that happened. The Saints were marching out of their bye week with six straight wins. They then proceed to get obliterated by the Falcons at home, but that may be more of a case of the Falcons turning on the jets with all the news surrounding head coach Dan Quinn. Bottom line, this Saints team is still dangerous, and they will bounce back, and they’ve got the Buccaneers right in their cross-hairs.

5. Seattle Seahawks (8-2, Last Week: 5)

Week 10 Result: Defeated San Francisco, 26-24 (OT)

Russell Wilson is a straight-up magician. He carried the Seahawks to a thrilling win late and further cemented his case for MVP in handing San Francisco their first loss of the season. Seattle is now 8-2 and right on the heels of the 49ers in the NFC West. They get a week off before another prime time game in Week 12 at Philadelphia.

6. Green Bay Packers (8-2, Last Week: 6)

Week 10 Result: Defeated Carolina, 24-16

Aaron Jones had another big day, and the Packers offense got back on track after a dismal outing against the Chargers. Green Bay now head into their bye week at 8-2 but still have the Vikings right on their tail in the NFC North.

7. Minnesota Vikings (7-3, Last Week: 8)

Week 10 Result: Defeated Dallas, 28-24

Speaking of the Vikings, Kirk Cousins is actually continuing to play well against good teams. Perhaps he has finally figured it out. Minnesota looks ready for another playoff run after missing the party last season. They host the Broncos next week before getting a week off for their stretch run.

8. Kansas City Chiefs (6-4, Last Week: 7)

Week 10 Result: Lost to Tennessee, 35-32

The Chiefs’ offense got back to their effective ways with Patrick Mahomes returning to the field, although he had a few moments where he looked a little rusty. A bad snap on a field goal combined with a late Titans touchdown ultimately doomed the Chiefs and gave Tennessee a huge win. The Chiefs still lead the AFC West and offensively look really good. However, the defense has been a bit shaky, and they now have the Raiders breathing down their necks. They head to Mexico City next Monday night, where they’ll meet the Chargers.
