These two teams head into Week 13 on the back of solid wins. The Raiders pulled out the overtime W over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12, and Washington took down Russell Wilson and the struggling Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Let’s take a look at the Washington Football Team vs. Las Vegas Raiders Week 13 matchup, the NFL odds, and make a pick and prediction.

Washington’s Taylor Heinicke has now had two of his best games this season in a row, helping to take the Football Team to a three-game win streak. Coming off the back of a 206-yard, 3-touchdown, and zero-interception day in Week 11, Heinicke drove his team into red-zone opportunities once again against Seattle. His only genuine mistake was a tipped interception to Jamal Adams.

The defense held the Seahawks to an embarrassing 34 yards rushing all night, with 16 of those yards being Wilson taking off. Of course, Seattle has a depleted group of backs, but this could spell trouble for the Raiders (who have struggled to run the ball at times this season anyway).
Washington’s defense pulling out this performance following the injury to Chase Young is impressive. Maybe after a slow start to the season, they’re beginning to find their groove again. Washington is currently allowing the fourth-least rushing yards per game (92.6).
The Raiders bounced back on Thanksgiving
As for the Raiders, Derek Carr once again put up big numbers on a high volume of throws, attempting 39, completing 24, and totaling 373 yards and a touchdown. Josh Jacobs had a great day with 87 yards of his own on the ground (4 yards per carry), as well as finding the end zone.
The defense, however, has started to leak some points, albeit against good offensive opponents. The Raiders have allowed at least 32 points in each of their last three games against the Chiefs, Bengals, and Cowboys.
Washington vs. Raiders betting trends
Washington is 4-7 against the spread (ATS) this season. However, they have gone 3-0 in their last three games after a 1-7 start. They’ve been underdogs in each of those games (including a 10-point differential against the Bucs), winning all three outright and covering the spread with ease. They’re finding form, running the ball well, and the defense is playing its best football this season. Washington is also 5-1 on unders in their last six games.
As for the Raiders, they’re 1-3 in their last four, both in wins and losses and ATS. That puts their ATS total for the season to 5-6, while they’re 6-5 on over/unders. Sunday’s game against Washington will be the fourth time they’re favorites this season, a category in which they’re currently 0-3 so far this season ATS.
Washington vs. Raiders prediction
This could be a tight game, with Carr able to throw 300+ yards on any given day. Nonetheless, Washington’s front might not make it easy for him (if they’re able to take the run game away). The Raiders are up and down in their consistency running the ball, and a top performance from that Washington defense could silence those rushes quickly.
Heinicke, on the other hand, is finding some form and playing with great confidence. Offensively, they’re healthy, and Antonio Gibson looked great on Monday Night Football, coming in clutch multiple times when his team needed him to make a play. I think Washington takes this one, so I’ll take them with the points. I can see this one covering the over, with some early drives resulting in early points while the two teams figure each other out.
Washington vs. Raiders Prediction: Washington 28, Raiders 24
