Heading into the rarely seen Tuesday Night Football, what is the latest injury report for the Washington Football Team vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup. Which players will be absent through injury, who looks set to suit up, and who is on the reserve/COVID-19 list?
Washington Football Team vs. Philadelphia Eagles injury report
It has been quite a busy week for both Washington and the Eagles when it comes to the injury report. Both teams have had key players limited this week and have had fantasy managers waiting anxiously with the game delayed until Tuesday.
On top of that, both teams have had players placed on the COVID list. Heading into Tuesday morning, what was the state of the injury report for both Washington and the Eagles?
J.D. McKissic and Curtis Samuel ruled out while Terry McLaurin will play for Washington in Week 15
Let’s start with the injury report and then get to the reserve/COVID-19 list. Firstly, the good news is that Terry McLaurin has cleared the NFL concussion protocol and carries no injury designation into Tuesday.
Unfortunately, the situation is not so positive for J.D. McKissic and Curtis Samuel. McKissic did manage to get out of the concussion protocol, following two missed games. However, he has a neck injury and will miss his third straight game. Meanwhile, Samuel continues to have issues with his hamstring. This will be the wide receiver’s ninth missed game this season.
More good news for Washington is that everyone else on the injury report this week other than TE Ricky Seals-Jones carries no injury designation into Tuesday. Unfortunately, Seals-Jones is questionable with a non-COVID illness.
Yet, the injury report is not the full story for Washington. Entering Sunday, they had 16 players on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Included among those are both QBs Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen, plus starting offensive linemen Brandon Scherff, Cornelius Lucas, and Tyler Larsen. On the defensive side of the ball, Kendall Fuller, Kamren Curl, and Tim Settle are the headliners. For a full list of Washington players on the COVID list, check out our NFL COVID tracker.
The Eagles have a clean injury report after Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders, and Jordan Howard cleared
The injury report for the Eagles has a significantly better look to it on Tuesday morning. Offensively, QB Jalen Hurts (ankle), RBs Jordan Howard (knee) and Miles Sanders (ankle), as well as C Jason Kelce (rest/ankle) and OT Lane Johnson (rest) all featured on the injury report this week. Nevertheless, all of them carry no injury designation into the Eagles’ Week 15 matchup with Washington.
Likewise, on defense, DE Derek Barnett (neck), DT Fletcher Cox (rest), LB Patrick Johnson (back), and CB Steven Nelson (shoulder) all featured on the Eagles injury report ahead of their matchup with Washington. Similarly, all four of them were cleared to play Tuesday.
Where the Eagles could have a problem is with their COVID-positive players. In the last couple of days, both Landon Dickerson and Andre Dillard have been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Eagles will be hoping no one else tests positive ahead following the loss of those two.
