‘Fighter Removed’ – Fans React As UFC Fighter Sedriques Dumas Is Arrested Yet Again, His 14th Time Since 2014

UFC middleweight Sedriques Dumas has found himself in legal trouble again following his latest arrest on a string of serious charges in Florida. This is another addition to his growing rap sheet, which now includes more than a dozen arrests since 2014.

Sedriques Dumas Jailed on Charges Including Robbery and Weapon Possession, Fans React

Court records confirm that Dumas was arrested and booked into Escambia County Jail earlier this week. The charges against him include felony home invasion robbery without a firearm, misdemeanor battery, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, drug possession without a prescription, and drug equipment possession. The robbery charge alone carries a $500,000 bond, with the total bond amount set at $558,500.

At present, Dumas remains in custody with no scheduled release. The UFC has yet to issue an official statement on his status, but with this being his 15th recorded arrest, his future with the promotion appears increasingly bleak.

Dumas, who last fought at UFC 314, suffered a swift knockout loss to Michal Oleksiejczuk, bringing his UFC record to 3-3. All three of his wins have come by decision, and his performances have often failed to spark much enthusiasm among fans or matchmakers.

As the news of his latest arrest circulated, fans didn’t hold back on social media. One simply wrote, “Fighter removed,” while another asked, “Why haven’t they cut this guy yet?” Others mocked his legal record, with one post noting, “Averaging more than one arrest a year is truly incredible.”

Dumas Opened Up on Past Domestic Violence Allegations Last Year

This is not the first time Dumas has faced serious allegations. Back in August 2024, following a decision win over Denis Tiuliulin at UFC Abu Dhabi, Dumas used his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier to deny previous domestic violence accusations made against him earlier that year.

“After everybody wanna bad-mouth me, tell me I’m a woman-beater online, you know this is s**t, bro… I ain’t no woman-beater. I’ve been coming to the gym everyday, working my tail off. That was in the past. That was some BS. And I’m here to stay like I told Dana White on the Contender Series. I’m here to stay. Don’t give up on me, big man. I’m here to stay.”

Dumas had been arrested in February 2024 for allegedly assaulting the mother of his child. While the charge initially started as a felony, it was later downgraded to a misdemeanor. Dumas pleaded not guilty, and the case remains ongoing.

Prior to signing with the UFC in 2022, he had already been accused of striking a woman outside a bar in Pensacola, though that incident did not lead to an arrest, and the case was closed.

Despite his efforts to paint a different picture inside the octagon, the growing list of charges and repeated run-ins with law enforcement are likely to jeopardize his UFC tenure permanently. With his most recent arrest carrying serious felony charges, the promotion may be left with little choice but to cut ties.
