The United Center in Chicago is all set to roar on August 16th as one of the most anticipated fights of the year is at hand. Dricus Du Plessis will be locking horns against Khamzat Chimaev with the UFC Middleweight Title on the line. Two elite fighters who are known for their intense MMA skills would obviously be driving the stakes up as expected, and the authority doesn’t want to miss out on cashing in on this grand chance.
An undefeated Borz will be eyeing the prized middleweight title, while Stillknocks would be hopeful of defending his belt. With the pressure mounting, Du Plessis would be desperate to prove her class under tougher conditions, while for Chimaev, this will be his first shot at the title.
Fans Aren’t Happy With the Exorbitant Prices of UFC 319 Tickets
As per the ticketing website of UFC, the upper-level 308 tickets were priced at $539 while the upper-level 305 tickets were priced at $549. The prices saw a gradual increase as the levels flipped and came closer to the stage. As the levels headed to the lower ones, the prices started to approach the $900 mark, with the digits moving to four figures as one moved closer to the cage.
A fan posted on X that all his excitement about trying to catch their favorite superstars in the cage has been dampened because of the exorbitant prices. As per the post, UFC has priced two very ordinary seats at $2,100 which is a massive charge for a fan. The post also took a sarcastic dig at Dana White for these massive prices.
The post was captioned, “I have been waiting for the better part of a decade for the UFC to get to Chicago, and its $2,100 for the two worst seats in the house, thanks for making your events affordable for your fans!”

This statement instantly garnered some serious traction as another fan was quick to call this extortion. He also said that at a former event, he paid $800 for better seats.
Tbh that’s extortion. I paid $800 for better seats for 318 like section 113

Another fan pointed out that the event in Jersey had lesser prices. The comment said, “Same feelings towards Jersey and they weren’t close to those numbers. Absolutely ridiculous.”
There was another user who couldn’t believe what he was seeing, as he said, “2g’s?! That’s absolutely insane.”

The growing discontent of the fans simply multiplied as another pointed out, stating, “Yeah that’s just not worth it at all.”
Others said that this is just a tactic to exploit fans while the events haven’t been great either.
Shocking. These prices are x twenty over priced. Just robbing fans. The UFC has been awful this year.

Ah, so he’s being dishonest. I’m looking on that site now and it’s way less.
It’s letting me buy though it looks like.

Despite the growing displeasure among the fans, even Dana White is well aware that this is going to be a great bout. Du Plessis, known for his popularity and insane presence in the cage, has a fan base that will eventually turn up for his fight. Chimaev, on the contrary, might be fairly young, but he is also fighting in what might be a full house as the title comes into the picture.
