‘I’ll Punch Your Face In, You Little Sausage’ – Paddy Pimblett Drops His POV of Colby Covington Backstage Skirmish

Paddy Pimblett went on an unfiltered rant during his backstage altercation with Colby Covington at UFC 314. Pimblett provided his UFC welterweight adversary with a couple of stern warnings, along with addressing him with a collection of deriding remarks.

Paddy Pimblett’s Altercation with Colby Covington

Pimblett put up a stellar performance against Michael Chandler at UFC 314. The Liverpudlian controlled the fight with his well-rounded skillset right from its initial minutes. Eventually, the third round of the fight proved to be the decisive one as Pimblett finished Chandler via TKO in its fourth minute.

The British lightweight earned a lot of appreciation from the UFC community after his dominant triumph over Chandler. However, a recent X update from @RedCorner_MMA showcased that some were also annoyed at him even after his remarkable victory over ‘Iron’ at UFC 314.

It highlighted how Covington came up with a few derogatory remarks for Pimblett while the latter was amidst one of his post-UFC 314 interviews with ESPN. ‘The Baddy” fired back with a few jibes of his own, along with providing ‘Chaos’ with a couple of warnings about “slapping” him and “punching his face in”. Pimblett said:

“Shut up Colby, you little fart. I’ll come and slap you [right here]. I’ll punch you face in, you little sausage.”

Pimblett also provided Covington with a reality check, mentioning:

“[You are on a] three-fight losing streak. Keep putting your act on [to stay relevant], you fart.”

Following this, Pimblett also narrated a previous instance of his meetup with Convington to highlight how the latter acts tough before cameras. He stated:

“[In] Power Slap, he walked past me like that, looking at the floor. Fu**ing little maggot. But now there’s cameras and he said something.”

Pimblett wants One of the Top-five Lightweights as his Next Rival

The UFC official lightweight rankings went through a massive change after Pimblett’s commanding victory over Chandler at UFC 314. ‘The Baddy’ stepped into the fight as the No. 12-ranked UFC lightweight. His superb performance against ‘Iron’ has boosted his current rank to No. 8.

However, Pimblett isn’t ready to stop until he places himself within the top-five contenders in the lightweight division. During his octagon UFC 314 octagon interview with Joe Rogan, the Liverpool native mentioned that he would like to have his next fight against one of the current top-five lightweight contenders to make his case for a title shot in the future. Pimblett said:

“[I’d like to fight] anyone in the top four, [or] top five [next]. I want that world title. All of you laughed, all of you went on to say I’ll never be champ, just like you said I’ll never get ranked, I’ll never be on the top 10. But what now, you gang of mushrooms? I want Dustin [Poirier], Justin [Gaethje], Charles [Oliveira], or the little posh boy Arman [Tsarukyan].”
