Dana White has faced many trials and tribulations before he became the head honcho of the UFC, the premier MMA promotion in the world. White recently disclosed the dumbest thing he did, and a UFC Bantamweight expressed interest in following in his boss’ footsteps.
The fighter is the only MMA fighter to defeat current undisputed Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili via. submission. Dvalishvili never tapped out, but the referee called off the fight after deeming “The Machine” unconscious after round three.
What Was the Dumbest Thing Dana White Did? Who Wants To Try It?
Dana White has many businesses outside the UFC, one of which is Professional Bull Riding, owned by TKO Group Holdings. White formerly owned the bulls Stank Face, F-Bomb, and Twisted Steel, all of which competed in PBR.
After Twisted Steel’s untimely death, the UFC head honcho has added Dana White’s Playmate to his stable. The bull’s PBR debut ended in disqualification as it knocked out rider Dustin Herman inside the steel pen.
White was asked about the matter in the post-fight press conference of UFC Kansas City, where the 55-year-old revealed the dumbest thing he did. “So I rode a bull back in 2015, which is what got me into this. It’s one of the dumbest things that I’ve ever done,” White said.

Ricky Simón, who defeated Merab Dvalishvili via. submission at UFC Fight Night 128, expressed interest in following White. In the comments section of FULL SEND MMA’s post highlighting the UFC CEO’s comments, Simón wrote: “I want to try.”

Simón recently knocked out Javid Basharat at UFC Seattle, earning a Performance of the Night bonus. The victory snapped a three-fight losing streak.
Dana White Recounts His First Bull Riding Experience
Dana White got into the PBR after his first bull riding experience, which certainly left a mark on his mind. White was 46 when he rode the bull in 2015. White recalled the incident in the post-fight press conference of UFC Kansas City.
“When they strap your hand in, you go like this to let them know that you’re ready to go, and they open the gate,” White said.
“And I remember as we were getting in and they’re strapping my hand to the bull, and I’m thinking, now I have to set my mind to raise my hand, you know, to have them open this thing up. But the bull starts smashing your legs against the bars, so you can’t pull your hand up fast enough,” the 56-year-old added.
The UFC CEO mentioned that the bars in the PBR are now padded, but they were not when he rode the bull. He hailed those who do the sport, saying it takes immense courage even to be with a bull inside the enclosure.
