Marvin Vettori Grieves Loss of His Brother in Social Media Post
Vettori took to Instagram to share a series of personal photos with his late brother, capturing moments from their childhood and more recent memories. In a powerful caption, he wrote:
“You were and always will be number one, my little brother! You left a void that cannot be filled. I will love you until my last breath. I don’t think I’ll be the same after today because maybe I never told you, but you’ve always been my strength. You were the smartest of the two. You were creating a wonderful future for yourself, and I can’t get over it.
It is said that Jesus calls back the most beautiful souls prematurely to take them to heaven with him and then I hope that you are there with him looking and watching over us with that goodness that has always set you apart. Ti amo fratello mio, e anche se non sarà facile continuare una vita senza di te mi rincuora sapere che un giorno sarò seppellito al tuo fianco. Ti amo 💔🕊️.”

A Look Into Marvin Vettori’s Career in the UFC So Far
Vettori made his UFC debut in 2016, quickly earning a reputation for his toughness and grappling skills. Though he suffered a few early setbacks, including a split decision loss to Israel Adesanya in 2018, he steadily climbed the middleweight rankings.
In 2021, Vettori earned his shot at UFC gold, challenging Adesanya again at UFC 263, though he came up short in a unanimous decision loss. He later moved up to light heavyweight temporarily to fight Paulo Costa and secured a gutsy win, earning a Performance of the Night bonus.
Throughout his UFC career, Vettori has faced top-tier opponents like Jack Hermansson, Kevin Holland, and Jared Cannonier. Despite mixed results in recent bouts, including a loss to Roman Dolidze in Mar 2025, he remains one of the division’s most resilient contenders.
