The bantamweight division of the UFC has some of the most compelling fighters in the MMA world, and Kris Moutinho has the potential to be one of them. Although the fighter has had an unfavorable run in the promotion, he has made his way back with his performances. Let’s learn why he could be a tough competitor in the bantamweight category.

Kris Moutinho: Statistics and Records

Kris Moutinho was born on August 9, 1992, in the United States, making him 32 years old as of now. He doesn’t have a nickname. Moutinho stands 5 feet 7 inches tall (170 cm), which is a decent height for his division. The fighter fights in the bantamweight category, where the ideal weight measure is 135 pounds.

He made his UFC debut in July 2021 at UFC 264 against former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley on short notice after Louis Smolka was pulled out of the fight. He lost the fight via TKO in the third round. His next UFC fight was against Guido Cannetti at UFC Vegas 50, which he again lost via TKO in the first round.

After two back-to-back TKO losses in the promotion, Moutinho went to other MMA promotions like Combat Zone, Classic Entertainment & Sports (CES), and Cage Titans FC and is currently on a five-fight win streak. The fighter is making his return to UFC after three years on another short notice against Malcolm Wellmaker at UFC on ESPN 69.
