Kayla Harrison Shares Two-Word Reaction As She Moves Up to No. 3 in the UFC Women’s Pound-for-Pound Rankings

Kayla Harrison continues to ride the never-ending wave of ascension as she made a significant climb in the latest chart of UFC Women’s pound-for-pound rankings. Fresh from her win against Julianna Peña via a second-round kimura submission, she bagged a major leap in the rankings owing to her consistency.

Ever since she set foot in the UFC, she has been thoroughly dominant. Her win against Holly Holm on her very UFC debut was a notable ode to her brilliance in the octagon. She then soon doubled down on her exploits in the cage, taking apart the illustrious likes of Raquel Pennington and Julianna Peña in her next couple of bouts.

How Did Kayla Harrison React to Her Latest Leap in Women’s P4P Rankings

As UFC released their latest rankings, Harrison leapfrogged Manon Fiorot to get into third place. She was only preceded by Zhang Weili and Valentina Shevchenko, who occupy the second and the first position, respectively. Other notable changes saw her opponent at UFC 316, Peña, climb down the ladder to fifth position.

The rise in rankings saw Harrison take to X and leave a feisty reaction about this exhilarating climb. She reposted the original post, while captioning it, “Steady climbing”. This was also a possible hint at the fact that she would only like to keep on driving while keeping an eye on the pole position that has Bullet sitting firm in it.

Apart from Harrison, Natalia Silva and Tatiana Suarez gained positions in the latest list. There were quite a few declines, as Alexa Grasso, Erin Blanchfield, and Rose Namajunas lost positions each. Blanchfield was unfortunate, as her last bout against Maycee Barber was called off due to the latter suffering a seizure just ahead of the clash.

Kayla Harrison Is Gearing up for a Legendary Fight Against Amanda Nunes

In what will be an iconic super fight, UFC legend Amanda Nunes is all set to put her legacy on the line against Harrison’s bantamweight title. In a post-fight discussion at UFC 316, Doug called out the Lioness and asked her if she is returning to the octagon.

Nunes didn’t waste a second responding to the question, confirming her presence in the cage again. Even though the date and time of the fight haven’t been announced yet, it goes without saying that the two will make one super battle in the cage, owing to their phenomenal legacy.
