Jon Jones Reacts to Israel Adesanya’s Hilarious Financial Advice Skit With Larry Wheel’s Ex-Girlfriend

Nicole Drinkwater’s 486,000 Instagram followers are nowhere near Israel Adesanya’s 8.6 million. But the two teamed up for a financial advice skit that got people talking, including UFC legend Jon Jones.

Jones was one of many to comment on the post, showing support for Adesanya’s funny collaboration with Drinkwater, the ex-girlfriend of bodybuilder Larry Wheels.

Jon Jones Approves Israel Adesanya’s Latest Skit

In a profanity-filled skit posted on May 2, Adesanya and Drinkwater got over 40,000 likes and over 1,000 comments on the video. Drinkwater is a well-known comedian whose Instagram bio mentions, “Spreading love through satire. Parody singer and songwriter.”

While the two didn’t perform a song together, they butchered up their finest accents to go all-out in a hilarious post. Jones approved, dropping a single laughing emoji in the comments.

Drinkwater took offense to one of the comments, responding, “I’ll fly you out and clap you round the head with a frying pan for content. Pipe down.” With a large following, but one that is nowhere near that of Izzy, Drinkwater did her best to put up with a UFC fanbase with a notoriously poor reputation.

The video is tough to describe and funnier to watch. Adesanya’s accent stood out as the star of the show and gave him a fresh spark after a rough patch in the Octagon. One commenter said he was nailing the “Scouse accent.” Drinkwater replied, “He’s a natural. I questioned sometimes if maybe he’s actually secretly from Liverpool and just pretending to live in NZ.”

Boxer Benny Mahoney also dropped a laughing emoji, although he was an early supporter of the skit, commenting almost a week before Jones did. Drinkwater loved a comment that joked Adesanya was speaking in a Scouse accent before GTA 6 even dropped.

Jones and Adesanya are two of the most recognizable names in the UFC, so fans enjoyed seeing the support between them. Many argue that Jones is ducking Tom Aspinall and the Heavyweight championship fight to avoid tarnishing his legendary resume, but Adesanya has always been one to take on all comers.

Sadly, Adesanya is currently on a three-fight skid and has lost three of his last four matchups. Since his historic Middleweight championship reign, which included a 23-1 run through his first 24 fights, and even after redeeming his loss to Alex Pereira, Adesanya has lost to Sean Strickland, Dricus du Plessis, and Nassourdine Imavov. His last three fights have seen him lose by unanimous decision, submission, and knockout.
