Jon Jones’s dominant run in the UFC stands at the core of his unparalleled legacy in the promotion. His stellar in-Octagon performances to date have also made him one of the strongest contenders for the coveted MMA GOAT debate.
Jones recently devised a unique method to recollect the memories of his glorious UFC career. He also provided fans with a view of his recent initiative.
Jon Jones Decorated an Entire Room With His UFC Fight Posters
Jon Jones is currently in the 17th year of his UFC career. He made his debut at UFC 87: Seek and Destroy in 2008 and has been on a rampage since then, except for a few minor setbacks. “Bones'” remarkable performances made him one of the biggest UFC PPV stars within a short time. To date, Jones has fought only thrice on non-PPV events.
Jones’s remarkable record also speaks volumes about his in-cage mastery. The Rochester native currently holds a pro-MMA record of 28-1-1, with a 22-1-1 record in his UFC encounters. The only defeat of Jones’ career came against Matt Hamill via. disqualification after he used 12-6 elbows on his grounded rival during their The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale encounter.
However, a large chunk of the UFC fanbase rallied for overturning the results of the fight to a victory for Jones after the UFC brass recently removed 12-6 elbows from the list of illegal moves. It would have resulted in Jones boasting an undefeated record besides all of his other achievements.
Recently, Jones came up with an innovative idea to commemorate his glorious journey in the UFC. He decorated the walls of a room with frames of the official posters of his UFC encounters. The two-division UFC champion also provided fans with a sneak peek of his trimmings through an Instagram post.
The lengthy caption to the post detailed Jones’ feelings after watching the poster-decorated wall. Part of it read, “And looking at this wall, it really hits me. This isn’t just artwork. It’s legacy. Every poster tells a story. Different chapters. Different homes. Different battles. Wins that meant the world at the time. Fights that made history.”
Jones confessed that he hasn’t been able to put up the official poster of UFC 309, where he defeated Stipe Miocic. But his ending lines of his caption indicated that more fight posters featuring him may be on the way. It read, “The wall’s almost filled… but trust me, the story’s still being written. The best is yet to come.”

The MMA community has been waiting for Jones to accept the interim Heavyweight Champion, Tom Aspinall’s callout for a title unification fight for over a year. His final words about the “best” yet to come might indicate that he will oblige the community’s wishes at some point.
