In the Instagram post, Rogan shared a snap of his dog Marshall holding a bottle and jokingly suggested that his dog was tempting him to relapse.
“I do so many things to stay healthy only to sabotage it with booze multiple days a week. Glad my dumb a*s figured it out eventually. Marshall, on the other hand, wants to get hammered and go to the dog park.”
Rogan’s revelation is sure to inspire many of his followers to quit drinking, given his massive following across social media platforms.
Joe Rogan Reveals Why He Quit Alcohol Despite Enjoying It
On episode #2302 of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, comedian and actor Ron White joined Rogan. At one point during their conversation, Rogan revealed to his guest that he had quit drinking, highlighting its negative effects on the body.
“I quit too [drinking alcohol]… a month ago, just stopped drinking. I think I’m done, for no reason other than it’s not good for you. I didn’t have to. I enjoyed it, but the days after drinking were just too rough.”
Rogan, who is a strong advocate for health and fitness, emphasized that it’s contradictory to poison his body with alcohol just for temporary enjoyment. He asserted that even without drinking, he still finds himself enjoying life fully.
“I’m like what kind of a moron who takes so good care of his body is poisoning himself a couple of days a week for fun? And then I’m like, well, will I have the same amount of fun if I don’t poison myself? Turns out, yes.”
The podcaster was seen on the commentary team at UFC 314 on April 12 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
