Joe Rogan and Guest Blown Away by David Goggins’ Endurance While Israel Adesanya Is ‘Dying’ in Viral Clip

UFC commentator Joe Rogan is a popular voice in the world of MMA, and his opinions often start a conversation among fans of the sport.

Over the years, the 57-year-old has discussed mixed martial arts numerous times with his guests on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and has also invited several fighters to his show.

Rogan recently had bowhunting athlete Cameron Hanes on “The Joe Rogan Experience”. At one point, the two individuals started discussing the training session David Goggins had with former UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya.

Adesanya had uploaded a video of himself working out with Goggins on social media.

Rogan commended “The Last Stylebender” for uploading the clip and then shared details of the workout routine the New Zealander went through.

“Shoutout to [Israel Adesanya] for putting this out too,” said Rogan. “We were also giving him credit because David broke him… This is one of Goggins’ multiple workouts of the day that he took [Adesanya] through… By the way, this [a stair climbing machine] is after they already ran. This is the third thing they did. They ran, they did the airdyne bike, and then they’re doing this… [Adesanya] was exhausted after the run, was exhausted after the airdyne, and then they [use the stair climbing machine] and then they do it all over again.”

The UFC commentator then showered praise on Goggins and shared how the 50-year-old managed to outclass a former UFC champion in terms of endurance training.

“And then people go, ‘He’s not doing that every day.’ Well, f**king clearly he is,” said Rogan. “Clearly he is, because look at him, he’s not even breathing heavily. [Adesanya] is dying, and David Goggins is talking to him with normal breath. At the same time, a world champion, one of the greatest middleweights of all time, can’t even keep his food down.”

Adesanya is currently going through a rough patch in the UFC. The 35-year-old has managed to secure only one win in his last four fights and has not won a bout in over two years.

Adesanya’s last fight took place in February 2025 when he faced off against Nassourdine Imavov in a five-round middleweight scrap. The night did not go well for “The Last Stylebender” as he suffered a knockout defeat in the second round of the fight.
