‘What a Gigachad’ – Jiri Prochazka Gets Fans Laughing With Bizarre Outfit at MMA Event Also Attended by Alex Pereira

RIZIN Otoko Matsuri returned to the iconic Tokyo Dome on May 4, with a featherweight title fight between champion Kleber Koike and undefeated Kyrgyz sensation Razhabali Shaidulloev. The event was attended by UFC fighters Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira.

Jiri Prochazka’s Outfit at RIZIN Event Gets Fight Fans Laughing

Prochazka, who has a long history with RIZIN, wore an outfit that some fans deemed bizarre and that had them buzzing. The Czech star, a former RIZIN Light Heavyweight Champion, also participated in the traditional taiko drum performance.

Meanwhile, Pereira, who wore a kimono blazer, spoke to the crowd at the event and shared photos from the trip on his Instagram account.

Prochazka and Pereira share history as well. Prochazka is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Alex Pereira is a former two-division Glory kickboxing titleholder and a former UFC Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champion. The two fighters have faced off twice in the UFC.

Their first fight transpired at UFC 295 in Nov. 2023, where Pereira stopped Prochazka via TKO in the second round to win the vacant light heavyweight belt. They ran it back at UFC 303 in June 2024, and “Poatan” came out on top again, finishing Prochazka with another second-round TKO.

Fans wasted no time reacting to Prochazka’s look. One user posted, “We should strive to be as free in spirit as Jiri. What a gigachad.”

Another fan joked, “Should’ve had the 3rd fight right there,” referring to a potential trilogy fight with Pereira.

Others took jabs at the outfit itself.

Prochazka is coming off a TKO win over fellow former 205-pound champion Jamahal Hill in Jan. 2025. On the other hand, Pereira lost his light heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev via unanimous decision in March 2025. Pereira and Ankalaev are expected to rematch later this year.

For his part, Prochazka has consistently indicated that he’d like to avenge his defeats against Pereira. The Czech combatant has maintained that he’s made the necessary adjustments to overcome his longtime nemesis in a potential trilogy fight and would like to prove it inside the Octagon.

However, since “Poatan” currently seems to be on a collision course with Ankalaev, the belief is that his possible third encounter against Prochazka would have to wait for now.

Meanwhile, Pereira would be looking to fix the issue that cost him the UFC 313 title fight against Ankalaev. The Brazilian admitted on “The Ariel Helwani Show” after the pay-per-view event that he was dealing with some injuries leading up to the fight.

However, Pereira refused to use that as an excuse to take anything away from his opponent.
