    Dustin Poirier Makes a Surprise Appearance at the NFL Draft 2025

    Dustin Poirier was recently seen at the NFL Draft. The New Orleans Saints invited the UFC legend from Lafayette, La., to announce a pick for the 2025 NFL Draft.

    Poirier announced Devin Neal as the team’s 184th pick.

    “What’s good, Green Bay? Hey, we got some good weather today. Yesterday was nasty,” said Poirier after taking to the stage. “With the 184th pick in the NFL Draft 2025, the New Orleans Saints select Devin Neal. Running back, Kansas. Welcome to the team!”

    The UFC shared a clip of Poirier’s appearance at the NFL Draft 2025, which caught the attention of several MMA fans.

    One person shared how “The Diamond” was loved by fans across the United States: “America sure loves that man.”

    One user expressed surprise at Poirier doing well during his appearance at the 2025 NFL Draft: “Kinda surprised he read it off that fluently.”

    Another fan shared, “Dustin Poirier’s publicity tour is insane.”

    One fan poked fun at the scenario, saying: “Devin Neal about to jump the gilly (guillotine choke).”

    Another individual jokingly imagined how Poirier’s former rival, Michael Chandler, would behave in the same scenario: “If it was Chandler… he would have called out (Conor McGregor).”

    Dustin Poirier Announces His UFC Retirement Fight

    During his recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show”, Poirier announced that UFC 318 will mark his last time inside the UFC Octagon. “The Diamond” shared that he will lock horns against former featherweight king Max Holloway for the symbolic “BMF” title on July 19 in New Orleans.

    “The UFC is coming back to New Orleans on July 19. It’s gonna be my final fight. I’m gonna lay my gloves down in Louisiana, where it all started for me,” said Poirier.

    “Max Holloway and I are gonna fight, five rounds, main event, pay-per-view, for his current “BMF” title. Max is a legend… There’s no better guy I can think of to fight in my retirement fight. I was his first fight in the UFC back in 2012, and he’s gonna be my last fight in the UFC.”
