‘Looks Like He’s out of Lord of the Rings’ – Ian Machado Garry Puts the UFC Welterweight Division on Notice With Daring Rant

Ian Machado Garry recently made a few deriding remarks about some of the renowned UFC welterweights. Besides predicting a grim fate for his upcoming rival, Carlos Prates, Garry also fired shots at Sean Brady and a few others, including one of his former rivals.

Ian Machado Garry Revealed Noteworthy Information Related to UFC 315

Ian Machado Garry has been on a commendable run in his UFC career. ‘The Future’ has claimed victories in eight out of his nine UFC encounters to date, with his lone loss coming in his last fight against the next potential welterweight title challenger, Shavkat Rakhmonov. Garry is currently hunting for a title shot by claiming a victory in his upcoming fight against Carlos Prates, scheduled for Apr. 26.

Apart from his in-Octagon prowess, Garry also doesn’t shy away from nonchalantly expressing his views about various UFC issues. A recent X update from @full_send_mma showcased the Irishman resorting to a similar approach during one of his recent interviews. Garry fired shots at several of his divisional rivals, along with a revelation related to UFC 315.

The 27-year-old initially targeted the No. 6-ranked UFC welterweight contender, Joaquin Buckley. Garry mocked Buckey’s lack of command of English, saying, “Joaquin Buckley barely speaks fuc*ing English.” He also derided the top-ranked UFC welterweight, Sean Brady, labeling him a character from the famous Hollywood movie “The Lord of the Rings”. Garry placed Buckey and Brady under the same roof, opining that the UFC community doesn’t care about their showdowns.

Subsequently, he made an interesting gesture of taking his former rival, Neal Magny’s soul, out of his pocket. He claimed he took it away after defeating him at UFC 292. Garry also bragged about his popularity in Brazil, the USA, and his home country of Ireland.

In the end, ‘The Future’ provided a daunting warning for his upcoming rival, Carlos Prates, and revealed that he was open to “weigh-in” as the backup fighter for the UFC 315 welterweight title clash between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena.

However, regardless of whether he gets the opportunity, Garry disclosed that his “flight’s already booked” for UFC 315. He said, “Saturday night, Carlos Prates is going to have his a** handed to him. And I’m going straight to Montreal because that belt has never been wrapped around my waist.”

Garry probably won’t get a chance to fight for the title at UFC 315 since his “backup fighter” status isn’t confirmed yet. However, his remarkable record indicates that he has the potential to rule the division someday, as he desired in this interview.
