Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber were expected to headline the UFC Vegas 107 event on May 31. The bout was scheduled to be at flyweight, but Barber came in overweight by half a pound, causing the matchup to be shifted to catchweight (126.5 pounds).
However, moments before the walkouts of the main event, it was reported that Barber had to withdraw from the fight due to seizures, causing the fight to be cancelled.

Blanchfield did not mince words while addressing the bizarre situation at UFC Vegas 107. “Cold Blooded” made an appearance during the post-fight press conference, where she spoke about what she went through after hearing about the fight cancellation.
Blanchfield mentioned that she does not wish to be matched up against Barber again in the future.
“I feel like I’m still pretty in disbelief right now,” Blanchfield said. “I was in disbelief yesterday when she missed weight because we knew about this fight since January. You could have been 50 pounds overweight and still made weight. So, she missed weight, then she gets to Saturday, she gets in the locker room, I’m fully ready to go, she’s supposed to be ready to go.

“Supposedly, now, she has like all these health issues right when we’re supposed to fight. I think it’s pretty crazy, pretty unprofessional. Yeah, I wouldn’t wanna fight her again.”
The 26-year-old then spoke about pre-fight jitters and how the fight cancellation turned into a nightmarish situation for her: “I feel like it’s almost like a nightmare kind of thing. When you have jitters, you’re like, ‘Oh, maybe something will happen, the fight won’t happen. But you never want that. It’s pretty disappointing.”
Blanchfield then went on to slam Barber, insulting her lifestyle and advising “The Future” to change weight divisions: “She needs to look at another division. She needs to fix her life. She needs to fix herself. I think she’s a complete mess in every aspect of her entire life.”
This is not the first time Barber has withdrawn from a fight against Blanchfield. She was matched up against Montana De La Rosa for a clash at UFC 269 in December 2021. De la Rosa withdrew from the bout in October due to an injury, causing Blanchfield to step in as her replacement. But then in November, Barber pulled out of the matchup due to undisclosed reasons.
