Edmen Shahbazyan, nicknamed The Golden Boy, has indeed dished out golden embers in the octagon with his rippling performances. He also went on a three-match winless streak where he was humbled by the likes of Derek Brunson, Jack Hermansson and Nassourdine Imavov, but the turnaround against Dalcha Lungiambula showed no signs of rust at all.

Known for his high-risk, high-reward approach, Shahbazyan is a fearless fighter in the cage. His early training with Edmond Tarverdyan played a crucial role in shaping that striking ability of his. Also, the Rousey connection helped him to flourish quicker in the cage. He had to shift back to the drawing board with a string of losses, where his grappling flair was questioned, but that didn’t deter him from returning to the cage.
