UFC megastar Conor McGregor, who has expressed his intention to run for president of Ireland, recently shared what he would do if elected—including his response to comedian Rosie O’Donnell.
O’Donnell was among those who criticized McGregor’s visit to the White House on St. Patrick’s Day, where he raised concerns about Ireland with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Conor McGregor Shares His Thoughts on Whether He’d Deport Rosie O’Donnell as President of Ireland
O’Donnell said during the 2024 election campaign that if Trump were elected for a second term, she would leave the United States. As the billionaire returned to office, she followed through on her promise and is currently staying in Ireland.
However, O’Donnell’s Irish citizenship has not been approved, and now she finds herself in a difficult situation.
Speaking to Tucker Carlson, McGregor was asked if he would deport O’Donnell if he became president. “The Notorious” laid out the criteria he believes should determine whether someone is allowed to stay in the country.
McGregor said, “What is her criminal history? Has she got a criminal background? How did she enter the country? Did she enter the country illegally? Has she assimilated with our community? Does she hold our beliefs? Is she an upstanding member of our community? Or would she be?”
The former UFC champion noted that if O’Donnell didn’t meet that checklist, she would need to leave. “If she is not, well then she’s got to go. You ain’t got to go home, you got to get the hell out of here,” McGregor said.
He added that O’Donnell appears to be struggling emotionally, and emphasized that he didn’t want to add to her troubles.
“But I don’t know Rosie O’Donnell from Adam. But, you know, I believe she’s a comedian. I’ve seen her on our national TV. She spoke a bit of ill of me. I don’t know Rosie. She seems unhappy,” McGregor said.
“She seems to be going through something at the moment, and I’m not the type of person to kick a person when they’re down. I wish for her—I believe she’s a comedian, that’s what her craft is—I wish for her to find her happiness again. And that is it.”
The former two-division UFC champion has adopted a strong anti-immigration stance, positioning it as a central part of his political platform. While it seems the former two-division UFC champion isn’t heading back to the Octagon anytime soon, he’s still finding ways to stay in the spotlight.
I DON’T blame IRELAND ABOUT ROSIE O’DONALD SHE IS OBVIOUSLY TRASH FROM THE WORD GO!!!!!
