Standing 6-foot-1, Brundage is taller than an average Middleweight fighter who is 5-foot-10. He has an arm reach of 72 inches and a leg reach of 42 inches. He weighs around 185 lbs as a middleweight, but he will probably be bigger outside of fight camp, as he has fought even at Light Heavyweight.

Brundage’s Submission and Knockout Record

Brundage began his martial arts journey in wrestling, competing in high school and college. The 31-year-old is also a Purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In 11 fights in the UFC, Brundage has five victories, four of which came by finish and one by disqualification. All of his UFC victories came in the first round.

He has three KO/TKO victories and one by submission. Brundage’s sole submission victory came against Dalcha Lungiambula at UFC Vegas 50. The 31-year-old’s KO/TKO victories came against Tresean Gore, Zachary Reese, and Julian Marquez.

Notably, the win over Reese at UFC Austin in 2023 came after a slam and follow-up punches. His sole DQ win came against Jacob Malkoun at UFC Vegas 79.

In the UFC, Brundage has lost to Bo Nickal, Sedriques Dumas, Rodolfo Vieira, Michał Oleksiejczuk, and Nick Maximov. The losses against Nickal and Vieria came by submission, while Oleksiejczuk knocked him out. The rest of the losses were by decision.

Brundage’s Career Before the UFC

Brundage entered the UFC after an unsuccessful fight at Dana White’s Contender Series against William Knight. The 31-year-old suffered a first-round TKO loss in the Light Heavyweight matchup. However, he rebounded with a submission victory over Joseph Kropschot at LFA 99 in a Middleweight matchup. The victory earned him a UFC contract.

Before the Contender Series, Brundage had only five fights in professional MMA. He finished his first three fights, against Jesse Walthers, Mike Johnson, and Josh Krizan, in under two rounds. In his next two fights, Brundage became a two-division champion in the Lights Out Championship.

After defeating Erick Lozano to claim the Middleweight title at LOC 6, Brundage defeated the same opponent to become the Light Heavyweight champion at LOC 7. The two fights happened in three months, from Dec. 14, 2019, to Feb. 8, 2020.

Brunage fought five times in amateur MMA, winning thrice and losing twice. Notably, he fought future UFC Welterweight and The Ultimate Fighter 29 Middleweight Tournament winner Bryan Battle at KOTC: Hard Knocks 3, losing via split decision.
