Chael Sonnen Makes a Bizarre Observation About Anthony Joshua’s Training Session

Speculation about boxing star Anthony Joshua’s next fight has been creating buzz on the internet. Speculation is growing that Tyson Fury, who lost his rematch to Oleksandr Usyk and subsequently announced his retirement, could return to the ring to face Joshua in one of the most anticipated fights of the decade.

Amid this, new training footage of Joshua is making waves online. Recently, UFC analyst Chael Sonnen responded to the footage with some unusual observations.

Chael Sonnen Offers Strange Take On Anthony Joshua’s Training Video

Joshua’s four-fight winning streak was halted when he faced Daniel Dubois for the IBF Heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium in London in September 2024. “AJ” was knocked out in the fifth round, losing his opportunity to capture the title.

TalkSport Boxing shared training footage of Joshua on X, showing him shadowboxing and training with a young boy. The caption on the post read, “Anthony Joshua is back in fight training as Tyson Fury speculation continues to grow.”

This caught the attention of Chael Sonnen. While most people were impressed by Joshua’s smooth moves, Sonnen jokingly questioned why Joshua always looks fresh and is never seen sweating.

Sonnen wrote, “Baby oil does wonders, but I can’t help to remain curious why I’ve never seen a training video with this guy sweating.”

Sonnen’s X post might have just been a humorous comment, as he is known for sharing bizarre observations on social media.

Francis Ngannou Eyeing Anthony Joshua Rematch

Francis Ngannou, in his most recent boxing bout, faced Anthony Joshua in March 2024 in Saudi Arabia, where he was dominated by “AJ” and lost via knockout in the second round. He is now gearing up for a return to the boxing ring, though no official announcement has been made regarding his next bout.

PFL Managing Director James Frewin, speaking on TalkSport, praised Ngannou and revealed that the PFL heavyweight campion is eyeing a rematch with Joshua.

“Look, I think Francis is an incredible athlete,” he said. “He’s a linear heavyweight champion of the world,” Frewin said. “He has ambitions in boxing, and I think he has unfinished business in boxing tied to his Anthony Joshua loss. I think he wants to get that one back and that journey he’s on.”

Many fans have called for a long-awaited showdown between Fury and Joshua, as they are the biggest names in British boxing. However, “The Predator” is also making waves in the boxing world, and he may still have a chance to run it back with “AJ.”
