UFC CEO Dana White has often highlighted his journey from Boston, Mass., to Las Vegas, Nev. that transpired back in the 1990s. White has consistently maintained that he moved due to threats from the criminal associates of James ‘Whitey’ Bulger, who reportedly operated as an organized crime boss in Boston from the 1970s through the 1990s.

Incidentally, White has now recalled another dangerous incident that he claims befell him in his youth in Boston. On the inaugural episode of Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, “What’s Your Story?”, White was asked about the time he was allegedly beaten up by a mob.

White stated, “In Boston. There was a place called Pete’s Pub … I guarantee you every one of those guys that sees stuff now go, ‘We beat the sh** out of that dude one night.'”

White indicated that the mob also attacked the people who’d gotten out of their cars and tried to help him. Claiming that the mob even fought the police who’d arrived at the scene, he pointed to his left ear and asserted that he’d lost his hearing in it.

White then addressed an unbelievable phone call he received from the attacker’s legal counsel a few weeks after the incident. “I get a call at my house one day,” White said.

“Maybe it’s a couple of months later, I don’t remember the time. … I don’t know who they are, how they got my number. I don’t even know what the hell they’re talking about. But he’s talking about me not showing up in court the next day. Because if I do show up in court the next day, they’re gonna file charges again.”

“And I’m like, ‘What is this all about?’ And then it hits me. I’m like, ‘Wait a minute.’ This is the kid that I got into this thing with, who started these guys to jump me.”

White noted that he wasn’t in contact with the police and didn’t intend to legally target the mob. The 55-year-old underscored that he was speaking to the lawyer of the person who was responsible for his alleged beatdown, asked to be put the call on speakerphone, and lambasted the said person.

The MMA personality added, “I tell this whole thing, ‘And if I ever see you again … And it won’t be in court, I promise you that.’ And then I hung up on those guys.”
