Due to his persona, Colby “Chaos” Covington has made enemies even with fighters outside his weight class. Recently, he chose to pull a prank on Belal Muhammad.
Speaking to the media ahead of UFC 315, “Remember The Name” addressed Covington’s video with a savage remark.
Belal Muhammad Reacts to Colby Covington’s PI Prank
While training at the UFC Performance Institute, Covington hid a food parcel labeled “Belal” in the back corner of the fridge. The 37-year-old claimed it belonged to Belal Muhammad, the undisputed UFC Welterweight Champion.

Muhammad didn’t care about Covington’s antics. When asked about the matter at the UFC 315 media day interview, he brushed it off. He pointed out he had been in Montreal, Canada, for a while for the upcoming title fight, meaning the one Covington hid was somebody else’s.
“He hid my food, and I’m not even in Vegas. That’s how much of a moron he is. I don’t know what he’s doing,” Muhammad said. “These guys are like YouTubers now. Kamaru’s a podcaster, Colby’s a YouTuber. They need to do a podcast together: The Biggest Losers.”
Usman caught strays from Muhammad after the latter appeared on the former’s podcast, “Pound 4 Pound,” which didn’t go well. It was recently revealed by Muhammad as well as Usman’s co-host Henry Cejudo that the two got into a verbal back-and-forth, which quickly turned into a physical altercation.
Incidentally, Usman’s last victory inside the Octagon was against Covington at UFC 268 in Nov. 2021. Since then, he has lost twice to Leon Edwards and once to Khamzat Chimaev. After a two-year layoff, Usman is set to return at UFC Atlanta next month against Joaquin Buckley.
Covington, meanwhile, has won two of his last five fights. After the loss to Usman, he picked up a decision win over friend-turned-foe Jorge Masvidal but went on to lose to Leon Edwards and Joaquin Buckley.
Colby Covington Goes Scorched Earth on Belal Muhammad
Despite many in the MMA community claiming that Covington is playing a character, he hasn’t minced words when criticizing his fellow fighters, especially those in his weight class.
In a recent interview with Jon-Bernard Kairouz, Covington shared his feelings about many UFC Welterweights, including Muhammad.
“Boring, racist.. He said that I was getting title fights because of the color of my skin, because of white privilege. So, he’s just a piece of sh*t person. He’s despicable, and he’s just boring. I mean, there’s more charisma on that trash can over there. He’s just a boring motherf**ker,” Covington said about Muhammad.
Despite his criticism, “Chaos” indirectly picked Muhammad to win at UFC 315. While discussing Jack Della Maddalena, he pointed out that the Australian is one-dimensional and would be exposed in the title fight against Muhammad.
Covington also gave his take on the potential fight between Muhammad and Kamaru Usman. He said that Usman might win the scuffle, citing his superior strength.
