Earlier this year Tyreek Hill was detained by the Miami-Dade Police hours before the Miami Dolphins’ season opener. The body cam footage of the entire incident had gone viral and sparked a debate across the country.
Now, the wide receiver has shared his message to the world after proceedings against him are dismissed.
Tyreek Hill Has a Fitting Reply After the Miami-Dade Police Failed to Show Up
“Cheetah” was put in handcuffs on a sidewalk after he had an altercation with the police on Sept. 5. The police had alleged that the 30-year-old had been driving his car carelessly and had violated seatbelt rules.
Now, Fox Sports personality Andy Slater revealed on X (previously Twitter) that tickets for careless driving and seatbelt violation against Hill have been dropped.
“Tyreek Hill’s traffic tickets for careless driving and a seatbelt violation have been dismissed. The Miami-Dade Police officers failed to show up to a court hearing, I’m told,” he tweeted.

The eight-time Pro Bowler came back with a direct comeback against people who had been claiming he was guilty. “Where all the internet cops now,” Hill replied to Slater’s tweet.

The Miami-Dade Police Department had faced criticism for their handling of the entire matter. Hill was not arrested but was given tickets by the police officials, which now have been dismissed by the court.
Hill Is Fighting an Uphill Battle for the Playoffs
The Dolphins need to keep winning week in and week out to keep their playoff hopes alive. The 2019 Super Bowl winner is willing to put his body through extremes to achieve that goal. Hill has been dealing with a wrist injury but wants to keep playing through the pain.
“I’m here, I’m locked in no matter what, no matter how I feel,” Hill said earlier this month. “Even if I gotta cut my wrist off, I’m still out there. Because I love the game of football.” This season he has registered 49 catches for 571 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games.
He will be back in action on Thursday in Week 13 as the Dolphins (5-6) fight for a victory at Lambeau Field. The game against the Green Bay Packers (8-3) will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET.
