Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill seems to have a solid sense of humor. At the very least, he can poke some fun at himself at times.
On Wednesday, Hill responded to a report that free-agent quarterback Cam Newton was at Dolphins practice today with a self-deprecating joke about the size of his family.
Tyreek Hill Jokes About the Dolphins Already Having Too Many Kids After Cam Newton Attended Practice
On Wednesday afternoon, it was reported that Newton attended Miami’s practice.
Hill chimed in on whether the Dolphins should sign Newton.
“This team already has too many kids,” Hill tweeted, joking about his huge family and the fact that Newton has eight children.

Hill has at least six kids, and during an interview on the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast, several of Hill’s children were playing in the background. It prompted one of the hosts to joke: “You play offense but off the field, you’re the all-time leading tackler. You’ve got 10 kids. You’re just a family man!”
Hill didn’t dispute that number, instead just laughing.
“Yeah man, I grew up in the south, man,” Hill said. You see what it is; you see my boys running around here. It don’t matter how many kids I have, a lot of people won’t be able to say Tyreek don’t take care of his kids though. I think that’s the biggest thing. I wish all of them would have been here. All my kids love coming to the game and stuff like that.
“Sometimes it can be so hard for me to, like, mentally lock in because I’ve got daughters too. You know how daughters be. They want to be daddy’s girl, they want to be held and tough like that. Sometimes, it is tough. But at the same time, I’ve got to be aware I’ve still got a job to do. But I’ve got to be father to my kids in this small moment that I’ve got them here. It’s a lot.”
While Hill was clearly joking, he might be onto something. The Dolphins might need a daycare at the facility if Hill and Newton are teammates.
