Popstar Taylor Swift may be in her NFL era, but this time, she didn’t just cheer from the sidelines as she joined Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at the fifth edition of Tight End University on Tuesday, June 24. Swift surprised the crowd by joining musical guest Kane Brown on stage for a memorable one-song performance of one of her hits.
Kelce, who founded the event alongside the San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle and former Pro Bowl standout Greg Olsen, couldn’t be more appreciative of her gesture. While expressing his support in a recent Instagram post, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end even appeared to reveal Swift’s nickname.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Showers Taylor Swift With Love After TEU Performance
Kelce is Swift’s biggest hype man and never misses a moment to remind her how great she is. He did so again after the multiple Grammy Award-winning artist amazed fans with an electrifying performance at the “Tight Ends & Friends” concert, an event aimed at raising more than $1 million for charity.
Hosted by the “Bussin’ With the Boys” duo, Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, the show featured performances from several artists, including Jordan Davis and Chase Rice. Swift closed the night, joining country star Brown on stage at the end of his set for a rendition of her 2014 hit, “Shake It Off.”
The NFL posted photos of Swift’s performance on its official Instagram account Wednesday, writing, “Just a casual surprise performance at @te_university.” For Kelce, however, the moment was anything but casual. He hyped up his girlfriend in the comments, writing, “Turn me up, Tay Tay!”

While the pair have been dating for nearly two years, they made their first red-carpet appearance together at the TEU only before the “Fortnight” singer’s performance. Cameras captured the pair walking hand-in-hand, both smiling and dressed to impress.
While the Chiefs’ tight end had opted for a crisp white ensemble with yellow detailing, Swift matched the summer energy in a green-and-white checkered skirt set, instantly turning heads.
This year, it was a rare public moment for the couple, as they have kept a relatively low profile this offseason. Swift spent time with Kelce in Florida during his offseason training, giving the couple a rare chance to slow down. But TEU marked a new public moment, not just as Kelce’s guest but as a genuine part of the NFL family.
Freed from a packed tour calendar this fall, Swift is expected to attend more games than in previous seasons. With Kelce gearing up for another potential Super Bowl run with Kansas City, potentially his last, the timing couldn’t be better.
