Every week, the football world is abuzz about whether Taylor Swift will be attending the Kansas City Chiefs game.
The pop star just completed the South American portion of The Eras Tour and is now off until February.
According to Rob Demovsky, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has heard Swift will be present to watch Travis Kelce play on Sunday Night Football. Should bettors be targeting Kelce player prop overs as a result?
Top Travis Kelce Player Prop Bets To Target
Over 6.5 Receptions (-115 at ESPN Bet)
This is mostly for fun. This is mostly a narrative-driven analysis. I’m not suggesting Taylor Swift’s presence doesn’t have a tangible impact on Kelce’s motivation or on-field performance, but this is very likely correlation, not causation.
Nevertheless, there’s no denying the sparks fly for Kelce on the field when Swift is at the games. In the four games Swift has attended, Kelce has reception totals of six, seven, nine, and 12. That would give this bet a 75% hit rate. Perhaps she’s the mastermind behind Kelce’s success.
Anytime Touchdown (-105 at DraftKings)
Kelce scored in the first game Swift attended. After the game, Patrick Mahomes joked in the post-game interview that he knew he had to get Kelce one. The players are keenly aware of her presence.
It’s been four games since Swift last watched Kelce play. The Packers allow 0.4 touchdowns per game to tight ends, the ninth-most in the league.
Kelce has only had one touchdown since the last time Swift was in attendance. It would be downright mean for Mahomes not to hit him up for one Sunday night.
To Score Two Touchdowns (+600 at DraftKings)
It’s been over a year since Kelce scored multiple touchdowns in a game. He scored three in Week 11 of the 2022 season. Is Kelce going to finish the 2023 season with a blank space in the multi-touchdown game column? That’s just not his style. There are certainly far crazier bets to make than Kelce to score twice.
Receiving Yards Ladder up to 120
- 100+ yards (+280 at DraftKings)
- 110+ yards (+400 at DraftKings)
- 120+ yards (+550 at DraftKings)
Last week, Kelce racked up 91 receiving yards against the Raiders. That marked his first game with 70 yards or more without Swift in the stands. In the last two games she was at, Kelce went for 124 and 179 yards.
We know all too well what Kelce is capable of. After four weeks in single digits, let’s bet on watching Kelce’s 100-yard streak begin again.
