The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching. All 32 teams will prepare to address the long-term future of their franchises in a few week’s time. And one of the most sought-after prospects is Colorado’s Travis Hunter.
Hunter won the Heisman Trophy in 2024 after staring at wide receiver and corner. His projection at both positions makes him the most intriguing prospect in this class. And his ability to play both sides of the ball alone makes him a generational prospect.

Travis Hunter Could Be Top Five Pick at 2025 NFL Draft
Teams are certain to seek a wide receiver or corner at the top of the NFL Draft. Outside of quarterback and edge rusher, these may be some of the most valuable positions in football. Having a player who can do both is rather unprecedented.
Of course, playing both sides in the NFL is easier said than done. The NFL game is extremely fast and extremely physical. The demand on the body is a lot higher than it is at the college or high school level.
Still, there are teams around the league who believe Hunter can pull it off. As a result, his draft stock is extremely interesting. At this time, he is not believed to be going first overall to the Tennessee Titans. Reports indicate that Miami quarterback Cam Ward is the favorite to go first.
Still, Hunter’s availability could shake up the 2025 NFL Draft. Rumors indicate the Cleveland Browns are interested in the Heisman Trophy winner. They hold the second overall pick. If Cleveland goes in another direction, a team outside of the top five could swing a trade up for the two-way star.
Teams may have their views on Hunter’s projectability at the NFL level. However, there is no bigger advocate for the Colorado star than Hunter himself. The top 2025 NFL Draft prospect sent a message to all 32 teams ahead of the draft.
Hunter Gives Message to Teams Before 2025 NFL Draft
Hunter appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Monday afternoon for an interview. He was asked which position he could play at the next level. The Colorado star answered that he wasn’t limited to one position.
“Both, just like you saw me play,” Hunter said. “(I can play) all (snaps). If they give me the chance and opportunity to do it.”
Of course, there is a ton of time that goes into gameday preparation. Position meetings, practices, etc are all integral parts of getting ready for Sunday. Adding a second position on top of this would put a lot on someone’s plate.
However, Hunter is dedicated to football, and more than ready to do what needs to be done. “We kinda got 24 hours in a day, we probably sleep for about eight of those. So we probably got 16 more. The 16 that I’m up, it’s all dedicated to football,” the Colorado star said on Monday.
Hunter is one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. It will certainly be interesting to see where he ends up in a few weeks. And it will definitely be worth watching to see how his new team deploys him once the season starts this fall.
