Travis Hunter Had Most Productive 30 Days Ever — From NFL Draft to Graduation to Wedding to $46.6 Million Deal
Travis Hunter’s life has been a whirlwind lately — but in the best way possible. Less than a month after hearing his name called as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and graduating from college, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ rookie had another major milestone to celebrate.
Last Saturday, Hunter married longtime partner, Leanna Lenee (De La Fuente), in a star-studded wedding ceremony in Tennessee. He is also projected to ink a massive $46.6 million deal with the Jaguars. On that note, let’s revisit the most memorable moments from the last 30 days in the 22-year-old’s life.

Travis Hunter’s 2025 Only Keeps Getting Better
Within 30 days, Hunter has witnessed his NFL dream become a reality. He graduated from college, got married, and is now set to ink a staggering four-year, $46.6 million rookie contract with the Jaguars.
Hunter, 22, is fresh off a Heisman-winning season, but Saturday’s wedding had nothing to do with contract numbers or touchdowns. This was about the people closest to him.
His father, Travis Sr., was able to attend, thanks to a court’s approval in Florida, making the day that much more meaningful. Also showing up was rapper Lil Wayne — just one of a few well-known names who came to celebrate.
Hunter and Lenee first connected online in 2022, and by the time he transferred to Colorado, she was already a big part of the picture. She stood by him through major milestones: games, media interviews, and the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
When people online criticized her during that event, Hunter fired back: “She’s had my back from the beginning.”
Hunter graduated from Colorado with a degree in Anthropology on May 8. He had his jersey retired by the program and leaves Colorado as the joint-highest draft pick, along with Bo Mathews. Both athletes were selected with the second pick in the NFL draft.
The Jaguars gave up a few picks, including the 5th and 36th picks in the 2025 draft and a 2026 first-round pick, to move up three spots to select Hunter.
As quarterback Shedeur Sanders’s favorite target on offense, Hunter recorded 1,258 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns as a wide receiver in 2024. His play at cornerback was even better. Hunter had four interceptions, 11 passes defended, and 35 total tackles.
He also forced a game-winning fumble at the 1-yard line in a matchup against Baylor in 2024.
The two-way standout has already indicated that he intends to play both wide receiver and cornerback for the Jaguars, just like he did in college, and new head coach Liam Coen appears to be on board with the idea.
Coen stated in the introductory press conference that he plans to keep the Heisman winner’s role similar to what it was during his time at Colorado.
