Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard was quickly falling out of favor with fantasy football managers after failing to find the end zone from Week 1 until Week 11! However, after finding the end zone in back-to-back weeks, is Pollard now back into the must-start conversation?
Should fantasy managers lock him into their starting lineups on Thursday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks? Let’s dive in.
Should You Start Tony Pollard in Week 13?
Are we finally there? Is Potential Pollard back and Pitiful Pollard a thing of the past?
He has a rush TD and at least five targets in consecutive games, propelling him to consecutive RB1 finishes (doubling his season total in the process). With a 15+ yard carry in four straight games, we’ve caught glimpses recently of what we thought would be the norm. Pollard’s got me sucked back in.

The Seahawks are the fourth-worst red-zone defense, adding scoring equity to what we think is a solid touch foundation (16.5 touches over his past six after a dip in usage). Welcome back to the top 10, Mr. Pollard! Now let’s get to work.

Should You Start Tony Pollard or Kyren Williams?
The PFN Start/Sit Optimizer is saying that this one isn’t particularly close as projections have Pollard at 14.3 half-PPR fantasy points, while Williams is at 11.3. It’s much closer in my rankings, but I still give the edge to Pollard due to the matchup.
The Seahawks are allowing 23.2 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, while Cleveland — Williams’ opponent — is allowing just 16.8 on average. Pollard should have plenty of room to operate this week, and he’s a rock-solid start.
Should You Start Pollard or Bijan Robinson?
On paper, the New York Jets defense is a stout unit that should keep this Atlanta Falcons offense in check. However, they seem to be mentally checking out, given the state of their offense. The Jets are now allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season.

This makes it a much closer decision, but Pollard still gets the slight edge in the rankings due to the certainty of his role. They’re both fantastic starts in Week 13, but Pollard gets the nod in my rankings and the PFN Start/Sit Optimizer.
