The college football recruiting world was taken by storm when Sherrone Moore’s Michigan Wolverines successfully flipped the LSU Tigers’ five-star QB Bryce Underwood’s commitment in favor of the maize and blue.
The commitment switch resulted from what was reported as a promised NIL deal worth over $10 million, allegedly with the help of the world’s second-richest man, Larry Ellison. Ellison is a co-founder of the software company Oracle and has a net worth of $237 billion.
However, Ellison wasn’t the only big name involved in Michigan’s pursuit of securing Underwood’s commitment.
According to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz’s report, one of the best talents to come out of football, Tom Brady, promised the five-star quarterback his personal time if he decides to come to his alma mater.
Fans Thank Tom Brady’s Effort in Flipping Bryce Underwood’s Commitment
Zenitz’s report claimed that Brady talked to Underwood over a Zoom call a few weeks ago, which kicked off the mentor-mentee relationship between the two quarterbacks.

Appreciating Brady’s efforts, Michigan fans sent their gratitude via a sea of comments for the future NFL Hall of Famer:
“See what I’m saying? We pulled out all the stops, and we had to have the goat bless his ear right quick, lol,” one fan said.
“YES! Thank God the GOAT is a Wolverine. Go blue baby!” another fan added.
Another fan sarcastically added, “Hey kid, I’m literally the greatest NFL quarterback of all time, but Michigan made me a sixth-round pick.”
“I understand Brady went there over 20 years ago and is a loyal fan and supporter of the program, but just because he went to college there before Bryce was born, I don’t see the sway just talking to him holds unless Brady is going to be announced as the quarterback coach there soon,” another fan said.
“Michigan is 2nd tier. Just being honest. They had one decent year while the SEC was down and that’s it. They’ll no longer be that relevant and just have a bit of money they threw at one player. One,” another fan pointed out.
“Great job, Michigan! You will now officially have the most fans ever watch the CFB playoffs from home. A big shout out to Tom Brady and Larry Ellison (Oracle) for facilitating a $5 million plus NIL deal that includes a framed photo of a purple-faced Brian Kelly,” another fan rejoiced.
The Michigan Wolverines are sitting at an overall record of 3-4 during their first year under Moore, and Underwood’s commitment could be a major breakthrough in the Wolverines’ future as a team.
