Following his legendary playing career, Tom Brady became a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders — but his reach extends beyond football to the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces and English soccer club Birmingham City. The future Pro Football Hall of Famer reportedly has an interest in becoming an owner of another football team.

Tom Brady Reportedly Considering UFL Ownership
Brady is widely considered to be the greatest quarterback in NFL history. He spent 23 years in the league before walking away after the 2022 season. The sixth-round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft was able to rewrite the record books, throwing for an NFL-record 89,214 yards and 649 touchdowns, with 212 interceptions, while completing 64.3% of his passes.
He won seven Super Bowl titles, five of which saw him named Super Bowl MVP, both also NFL records. Brady is also the only quarterback to win a Super Bowl in both the AFC and NFC, winning six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The UFL is reportedly weighing four potential destinations for expansion as the league recently refiled trademarks for the New Jersey Generals, Oakland Invaders, Philadelphia Stars, and Tampa Bay Bandits. In a recent exclusive piece discussing the filings, Mark Perry of UFL News Hub revealed that Brady could be behind the league’s interest in bringing back the Bandits, writing:
“This location surprised me as it did not do well in the USFL reboot or the XFL under the Tampa Bay Vipers. However, I have heard from sources that NFL legend Tom Brady is interested in purchasing a UFL team. I did not believe that rumor until I saw this.
“Brady lives in the Tampa area. The only reason to bring the Bandits back, based on locations run in the XFL and USFL, is if they had an owner in place. Raymond James Stadium still serves as the primary venue option for a Tampa Bay Bandits return. The Tampa Bay metropolitan area represents one of the largest markets in the United States. It is the 17th-largest metropolitan area in the United States and growing.
“Add in Tom Brady as the owner, you have buzz and national interest.”
Perry noted that the Bandits were originally a franchise in the 1980s, while also returning for one season in 2022. They were replaced by the Memphis Showboats, who were not among the teams included in the XFL and USFL merger in 2024. It is unclear if Brady would look to become a majority owner of the franchise.
