‘Don’t Like That One Bit, This Is Too Critical of a Game’ — Tom Brady Bashes Refs Multiple Times After Controversial Calls Early in Super Bowl 59

It’s not even the end of the first half, and fans are already complaining about favorable calls the Kansas City Chiefs are getting, and Tom Brady agrees.

Brady bashed the refs on two controversial calls in the first quarter of the Super Bowl that went against both teams.

Tom Brady Not Pleased With Super Bowl Officiating

Brady let it be known early on that he did not like the offensive pass interference call the refs made against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Both he and Mike Pereira said it was a bad call on the officials’ part, and fans agreed that, once again, it looked like the Chiefs were getting calls in their favor.

“The thought process was there was a push-off to the head. Not your typical hand-fighting when it gets to the head. But to me, I still think it’s not enough to be a foul.”

“Right off the bat it begins….NFL should be ashamed to do this in the SuperBowl”

“It’s not controversial at all. It’s either corruption or incompetence. @NFLyou pick.”

But fair is fair, Brady was equally upset with a call that went against the Chiefs and he let that be known to the audience as well.

“I don’t like that one, either. … Look, I was on the end of the Tuck Rule, and I was glad Twitter [now known as X] wasn’t around then.”

Fans of both teams think the refs have called a bad game so far, and it appears they can’t win with any one of them. Chiefs fans were equally upset about a call against them.

“Is there a different crew for 2nd quarter @NFL, these guys haven’t made a correct call yet,” one fan said.

“Terrible call, cost the Chiefs a touchdown. – signed: A neutral guy. I don’t care who wins.”

The Chiefs have been accused all season of getting favorable calls, and this first-quarter call by the officials didn’t help.

The Chiefs received a lot of favorable calls, especially during their Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans to open the playoffs this season. One call in particular caught the eyes of many, a roughing the passer call which many thought was terrible.

Mahomes, later in that same game, tried to get a similar call in his favor when he flopped out of bounds, but the officials didn’t make that call. Mahomes said later after the game he probably shouldn’t have tried to do that.

There are already talks that the NFL may be making a few rule changes concerning certain calls on the field, including flopping.
