The Titans are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and this game at Seattle could compound those concerns. In contrast, the Seahawks beat the Indianapolis Colts relatively easily after taking the lead late in the first quarter.

One concern for the Titans was the performance of their offensive line, with Chandler Jones earning Week 1 Player of the Week honors after a 5-sack performance. The positive for the Titans is that the Seahawks do not have a pass rusher on the level of Jones or his partner J.J. Watt.

Seattle won its game with explosive plays, averaging 9.3 yards per passing play. That explosiveness is what compromised Tennessee’s defense in Week 1, and the Seahawks will aim to light up the scoreboard again vs. the Titans.

Titans vs. Seahawks prediction

It is hard to imagine the Titans getting embarrassed this week by the Seahawks, which is what the odds for this Week 2 clash would suggest. However, the way they were beaten last week was extremely surprising. They were thoroughly dominated in all aspects.

We have not seen these two teams meet since 2017 and they looked quite different then. That makes it tough to use previous trends in any way for this game. Nonetheless, if we look at what the Seahawks did to a Colts team that the Titans are familiar with last week, we can see that Seattle should have enough to win this one, even if it is close.

Week 2 prediction: Seahawks 27, Titans 24
