Thursday Night NFL DFS Picks: Cowboys vs. Saints top plays include Mark Ingram, CeeDee Lamb, and Taysom Hill

Monday's NFL DFS picks yielded a perfect slate. Which NFL DFS picks for Week 13 Thursday Night Football are primed to hit big?

PFN’s recommended 50/50 picks for Week 12 Monday Night Football turned out to be perfect, featuring all five of MNF’s top fantasy scorers. For Week 13’s Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints Thursday Night Football game, what is our favorite fantasy football DFS tournament lineup and DFS 50/50 lineup? Here are our NFL player recommendations and picks for DFS, based on FanDuel pricing.

Update 12/02/21: Cowboys WR Amari Cooper is in fact active for their game against the New Orleans Saints tonight. According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Amari Cooper mostly watched during 7-on-7 warmups and didn’t take a single rep in 11-on-11 drills before the game.

Thursday Night NFL DFS Picks | Tournament

With tournament play, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Huge payouts await the winners. But not all lineups are designed equally. Here’s my preferred TNF DFS tournament lineup for Week 13.

Dak Prescott, Cowboys, QB ($16,500)

In four games against AFC West opponents, Dak Prescott is averaging 13.6 fantasy points. Against everyone else, he’s averaging 24.7 points.

It’s an important distinction, because Prescott’s ceiling remains as high as any QB, especially when considering the rash of injuries impacting his top receivers. While the Saints’ defense is their pride and joy, Dak has the weapons to crack 20 points once again, which should make him an automatic DFS tournament start.

CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys, WR ($13,000)

I have CeeDee Lamb on my fantasy team, so the past two weeks have been notably tough, as I’m sure they’ve been for some of you. Still, after suffering a concussion in Week 10, Lamb is on track to resume posting sizable numbers in Week 13.

If the Saints had higher-upside receivers, I would recommend them. But given the choice between spending $7,500 on Deonte Harris and $13,000 on Lamb, I’m going Lamb.

Mark Ingram, Saints, RB ($12,000)

I thought about recommending the high-flying Tony Pollard at the same price. But with Ezekiel Elliott expected to play his normal workload and Alvin Kamara now ruled out, Ingram wins on touches and TD potential. The fact is, if New Orleans gets near the goal line, there are few players better suited to reach the end zone.

How do we know? Because Ingram has 24 1-yard scores in his career, including at least one every season since 2014. He’s scored 42 times from inside the 5-yard line. Yes, he could be a 6-point bust. But if the Saints score, there’s a good chance he’s the one getting it done.

Amari Cooper, Cowboys, WR ($11,500)

Amari Cooper is relatively cheap because he wasn’t expected to play Thursday. But on Wednesday, he was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list and is expected to suit up after missing Weeks 11 and 12.

For tournament play, 10 points doesn’t do much good. “Go big or go home,” as my many therapists have said. For the biggest output, stacking Prescott with Cooper and Lamb gives us the ceiling we need.

Taysom Hill, Saints, QB ($7,000)

We could spend big on a higher-ceiling player, but that would mean downgrading at one or two other positions. So if we assume a comfortable Dallas win, we’re betting on Taysom Hill to throw the kitchen sink at the Cowboys defense in the second half.

That includes running the ball (something Hill is quite good at), which should culminate in 10+ fantasy points — not bad for a $7,000 option.

Thursday Night NFL DFS Picks | 50/50

Now let’s take a step back and assess high-floor/good-ceiling options. Here’s my preferred TNF DFS 50/50 lineup for Week 13.

Dak Prescott, Cowboys, QB ($16,500)

We’re sticking with Dak in our 50/50. Ignore what happened in Kansas City two weeks ago when Cooper was sidelined and Lamb left early with concussion symptoms. Prescott’s floor is as high as any fantasy player’s tonight.

CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys, WR ($13,000)

We’re also sticking with Lamb. He has been Prescott’s top receiver this season, and there’s no good reason to fade him.

Mark Ingram, Saints, RB ($12,000)

The ultimate hedge, and a necessary one in 50/50. In tournament play, we’re going all-in on a Cowboys romp and hoping for one or two red-zone scores from Ingram. In 50/50, we’re imagining stiffer pass defenses forcing battles for field position.

This is what the Saints want to do: control the clock with a two-headed ground game that keeps Dallas’ potent offense off the field. If they succeed, Ingram will reap the benefits.

Dalton Schultz, Cowboys, TE ($9,500)

I’m normally not a fan of TEs in DFS, particularly in tournaments. But I took a chance on Gerald Everett on Monday, and it paid off. TD opportunities are key. So are third-down pass plays. Dalton Schultz thrives as a red-zone and possession receiver, and he offers a nice floor against the Saints.

Tre’Quan Smith, Saints, WR ($9,000)

I get it; this was not expected. But Smith has earned 20 looks in his last three games and has big-play ability. His floor is probably higher than any other New Orleans receiver, and his ceiling is comparable. We’re hoping for at least a 4-50 receiving line, and that’s reasonable in this matchup.
