Terry Bradshaw: ‘They’re Not Going To Win 3 in a Row’

Bradshaw, a four-time Super Bowl champion, does not believe Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl for the third time in a row this season.

He made his comments on the air and said, “They’re not going to win three in a row.”

The Chiefs, despite having a 14-1 record, have lucked out this season on many occasions. Furthermore, their one loss is to the Buffalo Bills, who might be the best team in the AFC at this moment.

The Chiefs have lived by making plays at the final moments of a game or relying on the referees to bail them out.

In Week 1, the Chiefs led the Baltimore Ravens 27-17 with 10:25 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Ravens then went on a long drive which included a fourth-down conversion, which ended in a field goal cutting the lead to 27-20.

The Ravens got the ball back with 1:50 left to drive the full length of the field and earn shots at the end zone. Lamar Jackson overthrew a contested catch to tight end Isaiah Likely. On the next down, Jackson missed a wide-open Zay Flowers.

On the final down, Jackson hit Likely. However, after the replay, he was deemed out of bounds. Jackson had three chances to score but could not do it.

Two weeks later in Week 3, with the Atlanta Falcons down by five points with 4:13 left in the fourth quarter, Kirk Cousins looks for tight end Kyle Pitts in the back of the end zone. Bryan Cook broke up the pass.

An obvious defensive pass interference was pointed out on Cook which was missed. This would not have given the Falcons the lead but a fresh set of downs at the one-yard line. If the Falcons scored there, they would have taken a 24-22 lead very late in the fourth quarter.

Mahomes would have then had to lead his team down the field for a game-winning score.

In another instance, the Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers went to overtime in a Monday Night Football game in Week 9. The Chiefs won the coin toss and went on to drive down the field and score the game-winning touchdown. The Buccaneers never have a chance to see the ball in overtime.

Against the Denver Broncos in Week 10, with just under six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs kicked the ball to the Broncos’ offense. They drove down a short field due to a poor kickoff and converted a big third down. Bo Nix then positioned the ball where the kicker wanted it for a 35-yard field goal attempt.

Chiefs players blocked the kick, taking the win away from the Broncos and sending the Chiefs off victorious.

This could be the year of the Bills. They have to go through the Chiefs in Kansas City, but Buffalo is a cold-weather team too. They also have Josh Allen.

    Bradshaw just might be right.
